Chicago Flips Red sat there and watched @ChicagoMayor Brandon Johnson pander to these Black kids and feed them narratives that don’t match his actions. While he’s talking one way, his actions and votes are going in the opposite direction of their best interests. That’s the problem. We keep letting politicians come into our communities, smile in our faces, take pictures, and make promises, but where have they been? What have they actually done for you before this moment? @JulianaStratton going to neighborhood bars, Brandon Johnson pretending to walk in our neighborhoods, at what point will we say enough is enough? They show up when it’s convenient. They show up for cameras. They show up when they need your vote. And then they disappear. We have to stop accepting that. We have to stop letting people talk at us instead of working for us. Pay attention to actions, not speeches. Look at results, not photo ops. @FlipChicagoRed is going to make sure to educate, and shine the light on these corrupt politicians. Because our communities deserve more than empty words. @FlipChicagoRed #VoteRed
