@MartinRJay Well done Martin Jay, the answer is most assuredly 'no mid-terms - That is the clear 'reason' for the Iran war In fact it is definitely the only thing that does make sense

NEW: Full round-up of Iran War latest by @HamidRezaAz: 🔶All eyes on Hormuz as Saudi/UAE rush to divert oil exports to alternative terminals. Fujairah hit but not Yanbu (so far) 🔶Iranian military officials warn any attack on economic/energy infrastructure will immediately result in strikes on economic/energy infrastructure in region which either has American shareholders or cooperates with the US. 🔶Brent oil jumped above 100 USD per barrel as trading resumed in the early hours of Mar. 16, the highest since June 2022. But paper oil seems manipulated by US intervention, experts suggest, pointing to physical oil for grades such as Dubai crude reportedly trading at around 140 USD per barrel. 🔶Heavy Israeli-US bombings in Iran continue while Iranian sources claim deployment of newer systems such as the solid-fuelled Sejjil missile. 🔶The US on Mar. 14 reportedly bombed several locations in Baghdad. According to the Washington Post, the Trump administration unsuccessfully attempted to kill the head of Kata’ib Hezbollah, one of the most powerful Shiite armed groups and among Iran’s closest allies in Iraq. 🔶Despite the Trump administration’s apparent efforts to forge a multinational coalition to police the Strait of Hormuz and protect tanker traffic, Iranian officials continue to frame the war as shifting regional dynamics in their favor. 🔶Pro-government narratives argue that the conflict has reinforced Iran’s central role in Gulf security architecture and demonstrated that no regional security framework can function without Tehran. 🔶Tehran appears increasingly interested in reshaping the long-term rules for the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian discourse now openly discusses conditional passage arrangements for certain countries and the possibility of establishing a new legal and security regime governing access to the maritime chokepoint, through which one-fifth of global seaborne oil usually passes on a daily basis. However unrealistic it may sound, this approach currently drives Tehran’s war strategy, especially when it comes to Hormuz. Read more: amwaj.media/en/media-monit…

Proud and honored to have accompanied the Strong and Resilient People of Iran to mark International Quds Day. Iranians will ALWAYS stand firm and NEVER cower before cowardly attacks. Video: Reaction of demonstrators when Tehran was bombed today is nightmare for aggressors.
