In Japan, manga (comic books) is a respected art form. I love how the stories are so varied (sports, police, samurai, 💬). I'll have to do a manga post. Tsukasa Hojo has long been one of my favourite illustrators. 🇯🇵 🗨️ 🥷🏻 ⚾ 🏀 🏴‍☠️ 👮🏻‍♂️

@SpacewaySurf Denny O'Neill wrote Frank Miller's first Batman story (DC Special #15). They also work together on my two favourite Spider-Man annuals, and a story for Bizarre Adventures #31. O'Neill and Miller didn't have a run on one title, but produced exceptional work.

ive always found it so cool that Dennis O’Neil was the editor who made Frank Miller the writer for Daredevil cool that he touched such huge parts of both Batman and Daredevil. the man really understood street level heroes and why readers loved them

@MonarchDafey I've read my share of Grendel stories but Warchild is the most memorable. Matt Wagner is an outstanding writer/artist. I recommend the Grendel/Batman crossovers as well.

A major reason why Titans struggle as much as they do right now in comics is because DC and most of their writers fail to really understand the appeal of what Marv Wolfman and George Perez did with their run, and that’s proven every time we get a new roster. The Teen Titans, at their best, aren’t an organization or union like the Avengers, Justice League, or even the X-men. They’re a personalized friend group who went on adventures together because they enjoyed each others company as fellow loners grappling with self identity. It’s way more intimate than most other superhero teams out there. We seem to universally understand that it’s a horrible idea to swap around Fantastic Four’s roster because the team works infinitely better with Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben. Sometimes Franklin and Valeria. They are what makes the team work, and it’s entirely unnecessary to change this status quo. The exact same concept can be applied to the Titans. If you want a superhero team that acts as a network for young DC heroes, then that’s what you have Young Justice for. Stop slapping the Titans name on every group that has a bunch of teenagers in it.

Rotoscope is underappreciated as it blends live-action realism with animation, yet is dismissed as mere tracing. In Fire and Ice (1983), Bakshi’s technique creates fluid, hypnotic Frazetta-style fantasy that deserves far more recognition.

@PopverseSays @ManFirestorm I read What If #32 decades before I read the Korvac saga. It might seem strange, but I enjoyed the What If story much more than the original (although George Perez did a great work on a few issues).
