People saying that the film actually didn’t look like this is really sad. I saw it in 35mm & and it was absolutely stunning & looked exactly like these shots. These films deserve to be seen in theaters & on the biggest screen possible.

@emkenobi After my showing of TLJ people were largely really positive. Some didn't like it as much as TFA but it wasn't until I got online I saw the backlash. The response to TROS was tragically a little more muted, it took me a couple watches to fully connect with it.

Full Metal Jacket is the best war movie ever made because it's actually anti-war and shows the psychological torment the US military inflicts upon its soldiers so that they become emotionless killers. The last scene is one of the most haunting scenes in movie history. Just a bunch of young men mindlessly singing a child's tune as they walk into another pointless battle, having accepted the inevitability of death. The death of their innocence. Those boys were stripped from everything they knew and turned into cold-blooded killers to fight a war that they didn't even understand. They didn't start it, yet they're the ones who face the consequences by dying or living only to be psychologically traumatized for the rest of their lives with zero support from the people who sent them to fight in the first place. That's the reality of war. Nothing should be glorified about it, and that movie did an excellent job at showing why.

@alejandroxpadi Batman vs Superman is like this on the 4K. Although it's a little jarring going from the 1.43 to 2.39. I like what Nolan did on one of the releases of TDK trilogy, where IMAX was 16:9 in the movie but the IMAX scenes in 1.43 were available as a bonus feature

I hear you, and tbh I’m pretty torn myself. Would love to have a 4K disc included with the 1.43 sequences for any movie that has them, but that being said I can see how from a business perspective IMAX would not want that. It’s only partially about the ratio, scale is everything

Last year I took it upon myself to fly to another state to watch a movie on IMAX 70mm purely out of just love for the format, as well as the filmmaker behind the project. A lot of people made fun of me for it, some were even friends. That opened my eyes quite a bit

All I want to see before we see Part 3 in theaters is a #DuneDoubleFeatureIMAX

I rewatched the trilogy a couple of years ago and all three are amazing I still cannot bring myself to watch the fourth one despite owning the 4K

So incredibly disappointed and heartbroken that the #Oscars and AMPAS chose not to include my father, David Keighley, and his immeasurable contributions to IMAX and cinema in the In Memoriam segment in the broadcast. I will never forget.
