Did you know that @BorisJohnson's government have quietly changed the elegibility for Warm Home Discount? Disabled people will now NOT be allowed to claim it, despite being the section of people who have the highest energy usage. They're actively punishing us for being disabled.

Thank you for reporting it. It’s important that things like this are explained
StarlightMcKenzie@StarlightMcKenz

@Action4ASD Yes. That is why I reported it. The fact that it took some investigation to work out it was parody demonstrates how dangerous it is.. I, like many believed it was a genuine comment because we know those comments are acceptable to some.

Well I don’t know whether to take comfort from the parody of it. Sadly this belief is probably in the mind of some and would certainly have been a held belief by some professionals 30 years ago . We do have to wonder whether this was in the mind of some
StarlightMcKenzie@StarlightMcKenz

@Action4ASD It's a parody account. That doesn't make it okay. It is still not okay. But take some comfort that it was a very bad horrible joke rather than an innate belief. I reported it anyway because these kinds of jokes still incite hate but it is still not what the author things (I hope)

For parents and young people living in Newham, it isn't news that the Borough has inadequate child disability healthcare, low quality EHC Plans, 2 year waiting lists for ASC assessments, weak leadership. Another Written Statement of Action needed in SEND: reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/44/80…

My 16 yr old daughter has moderate #learningdisabilities. In the night she built her dressing table by herself (I had been putting off for wks). She followed the awful instructions perfectly. I only saw it built when I went to give her her meds this morning! I am so proud of her!
