@Redhand___ An oversight at the time because it had never happened before. The issue was that there was no direction for Portadown fans once on Tandragee rd to head towards the town. They doubled back on Tandragee rd via Margretta Pk. But lessons learned

@AdamCarson1 I certainly understand holding fans back and it’s not that which I took issue with really. It’s as you said, the fans who then went out of their way looking for trouble.
Can the police not make sure they all go towards the Tandragee Road and then Glenavon fans the opposite?

No surprise there
While the fans in question are to blame for a lot of it, I think the PSNI made a complete arse of the whole operation last time. How can you hold fans in, to let opposition fans get away, but proceed to allow said fans to be waiting outside looking trouble?

How about instead of throwing money at 3g pitches, which have a limited lifespan, we put money into grass pitches? Instead of giving grants for artificial instead give grants for drainage. 2/3 cheaper than artificial. Proper drainage and maintenance would mean less call offs

Very interesting to see that BBC Northern Ireland operated a Multi-View feed from the five matches in the Irish League this evening.
Would be good for Scotland to go down this route on certain matchdays.

Seems like an ongoing problem for BUFC which should be addressed (invest properly in grass pitches) rather than shifting a season when it’s not really that big of a problem.

I prefer we shifted to summer football and keep grass. But it is getting ridiculous how easy games get called off now. A 2 foot square damp patch is enough to call a game off.
