Sky Sports are in an a tight spot.
Tonight was their final of their five allocated picks at Tynecastle.
They need special dispensation from Hearts and the SPFL to select the Falkirk match for broadcast on Wednesday to be selected.
Hearts could however pick the match for their own Pay Per View as it is a non weekend match.
However, I would put heavy money on common sense prevailing and the Sky cameras being in Gorgie next week.

Hearts can WIN the Premiership next Wednesday at home to Falkirk!
If they beat Motherwell, and Celtic do not win the Old Firm then victory against Falkirk would send the title to Tynecastle for the first time since 1960!

Given Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, I wouldn't exactly say Hearts (or Hibs for that matter) are 'provincial'.

What Hearts have done this season is phenomenal and it has been far too long since a “provincial” (to use the 80s word) club won the 🏴 title. Hope they see it over the line. Their story has only increased eyeballs & interest in other countries.

One of the things about the BBC that seems rather silly is that Sportscene tonight can’t be shown on BBC One UK-wide.
Same with next weekend.
People can go find it on the iPlayer but having it on linear for a lot of people in a late slot feels like a win-win.

@capaled Hearts haven’t won it since 1960. Came close on 2006*, 1998 and 1986.
Last win from a team other than Celtic or Rangers was 1985.

@SPFLWatch Hearts would surely get a good fee for the game being broadcast? I imagine a lot of non Scottish folk would find the effort of PPV on hearts TV not worth it

The last time a team not called Celtic or Rangers won the Scottish Premiership title was when SIR ALEX FERGUSON won it with Aberdeen in 1985. Can not stress enough how huge this result would be for Scottish football. Come on, Hearts! 💜
