@TheGirondin @calvinfroedge The video shows the missile blowing up before it hits, but the f-35 gets away. Assuming it is real, then it failed to hit, but most likely shrapnel from the interceptor still hit it causing minor damage which forced the f-35 to fly back for an emergency landing

The F-35 program was billed as the most advanced stealth fighter ever. It cost us $2 trillion over 20 years. And it gets clipped by a missile belonging to a military that I have been told repeatedly by the Pentagon was totally defeated. LOL. Hope the pilots are OK, tho!

An F-35A/B Lightning ll made an emergency landing at a U.S. air base in the Middle East this week, after it was struck by what is believed to be Iranian surface-to-air fire, according to two sources familiar with the matter who spoke to CNN. Capt. Tim Hawkins, a Spokesman for U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), said the fifth-generation stealth jet was “flying a combat mission over Iran” when it was forced to make an emergency landing at a base in the Middle East. “The aircraft landed safely, and the pilot is in stable condition,” Hawkins added. “This incident is under investigation.”

That is one of thousands of sorties that have been flown over your airspace. That is pretty sad for Iran.
