Peter Obi didn't form the core ADC membership. He joined later. He didn't celebrate the coming of major political parties to make the Ibadan Declaration. He was rattled. He didn't celebrate the ADC victory at the Supreme Court. He didn't even tweet about it. Yet, he's demanding for the ADC ticket because his own "south" is better than that of Rotimi Amaechi. What an entitlement.

Obi cannot defeat Tinubu alone. Atiku cannot defeat Tinubu alone. Obi and Kwankwaso cannot defeat Tinubu if Atiku is also on the ballot How is this difficult for them to understand?

@AkinwareNelson @Waspapping_ I am not is supporter neither do I have a preference in the ADC, let me ask you, do u think obi stands a chance against atiku? NO. If obi leaves, obi alone can not defeat tinubu. Same as atiku. They have to be very united and work together to win the presidency. But are they united

As expected, Peter Obi will leave ADC because he’s too cowardly to contest in a primary election. He wants a party that will hand him a free ticket without any competition, and that’s not happening in ADC. He either accepts the VP slot or runs away like the coward he is.

@OfficiaEdoOsasB @Atheuloho Can't believe you have a PhD. like me.. What manner of reasoning is this? How can Obi who cannot contest primaries against Atiku defeat Tinubu? Even if a direct primary come up today, can Obi defeat Amaechi??? With his level of political laziness???

Atiku is the problem. Can’t he read the room and sense the mood of the country? He had no business contesting the 2023 election, and it is even worse that he still wants to run in 2027. Since he fought Goodluck Jonathan on the grounds that it was the North’s turn, why is he now fighting tooth and nail when it is clearly the South’s turn? In 2031, we will field a strong southern candidate, especially since he claims we should discard zoning.

The situation is clear: both will deputise for each other, whether now or in 2031. Kwankwaso will contest for the presidency in 2031, and he'll ask Obi to deputise for him—just as Obi is asking Kwankwaso to deputise for him now. I hope that when Kwankwaso seeks Obi’s support in 2031, Obi will return the same respect Kwankwaso will shows him in the 2027 election, where he may serve as his running mate. Whether it’s KO or OK, both scenarios could happen at different times. Nigeria will be OK…, KO?

Obi has the right to join any party but I will advise him to think over the decision again. Obasanjo shouldn't be his sole reason for leaving the coalition. Obj doesn't have anything to lose and he will most likely attend Tinubu's second term inauguration. Kwankwaso is using you to play his own political long game and it is ridiculous that you don't see it. The same way we mentioned Okupe and others then. @PeterObi you are a politician and should be able to know when you are being used to massage personal political ego. Again, Obasanjo doesn't have anything to lose. Please stay in the coalition and play your game there. It is better to lose out in the coalition and be considered upright than to go to a new party and lose out heavily and be called a desperate politician. I genuinely wish you well.

@Waspapping_ Joining ADC for obi was a political miscalculation. Post elections 2023obi was a hot cake, if things don't work out in LP, join another party and see how millions will follow you to the new part not joining a party where u become an option because of the too many powerful people

@YunusaTanko @YunusaTanko, so shameful that you guys have started misleading Peter Obi. If Obi misses the VP slot on the ADC ticket, he should be assured that I and millions of Igbos will not forgive him for destabilizing the ADC and handing victory to Tinubu in 2027.

Referencing my X statement from two days ago, which has now been confirmed, below are the words of Mr. Asemota that require our consideration and action: The Supreme Court’s ADC ruling is a “banana peel” judgment: What the Supreme Court just did • The apex court ordered the ADC leadership dispute sent back to the Federal High Court “for determination on the merits,” effectively saying the Court of Appeal’s status‑quo‑ante order was “unnecessary, improper and unwarranted.” Through Justice Garuba, the court stressed that the substantive questions about who controls ADC must be fully tried and decided at the trial level, rather than frozen by interim orders. Why it is a “banana peel” judgment. In earlier rulings, the Supreme Court and the Electoral Act 2026 framework had emphasised that lower courts should not decide party‑leadership disputes, treating them as internal matters of political parties. Here, the Court still allows the Federal High Court to probe the merits of ADC leadership, which revives the very domestic‑politics litigation it had previously tried to shut out. It therefore creates a legal slippery‑slope: like a banana peel on the floor, it looks like it clears the path but may actually cause future political and judicial trips. Recall that: The Supreme Court had previously held that courts should not routinely decide party‑leadership contests, echoing the position that such matters are *internal to the party and not subject to ordinary judicial determination.* The Labour Party leadership case around the expiry of Abure’s tenure as national chairman similarly highlighted that once a national‑chairman’s constitution‑based tenure ends, the party must re‑elect or choose a new leader, and courts must generally avoid creating *“judicial chairmen”* which INEC in their portal refer to as CHAIRMAN *BY COURT ORDER.* The ADC is now a political cul‑de‑sac, and any serious presidential aspirant must attach to a newer, cleaner party, (who would have done their congresses & convention perhaps) secure a clear ticket, and build momentum before the turbulence hits—not after courts have turned the party into a constitutional and succession‑battlefield. In Solidarity ✊🏾🇳🇬 Asemota Igiogbe _Edo State Obidient_ _Movement Collegiate Leader_
Dr Yunusa Tanko@YunusaTanko

Verifiable fact: They plan to deliver judgment on the 5th of May. Depending on the outcome, they may direct the matter back to the High Court. The opposition will then have only three working days (6th, 7th, and 8th) to take a decision, with the 9th and 10th falling on the weekend and marking the deadline for submission to INEC. This appears to be an orchestrated move by anti-democratic and centrifugal forces against one person, His Excellency Peter Obi. We shall overcome, insha Allah.

@chymaker Oh its actually a very simple political permutation, albeit an illusion, the belief is that AA will clear the entire North overwhelmingly as he believes he would be inheriting the entire Buhari bloc so he only needs pockets of votes in the south to make up for the necessary 25%

Peter Obi know this since 2025, he should have remain in his LP and consolidate on his gains of 2023 or have an open heart to welcome whatever he sees in ADC. If he actually leaves ADC he is actually becoming what Obedients accuse Atiku of doing. Kwankwaso is the only Politician in that coalition playing the long term card.
