Dear Nigerians, Disenfranchisement is a deliberate tool of @inecnigeria in previous elections. It was intentionally deployed to rig 2023 election before and during the election We may cry about it but as the Commission have used it successfully, it will continue, unless

The sad thing about this is that: As a student in Nigeria, I was forced to pay international fee until I had to present evidence from my Local Govt of Origin. When I attended Law School for Bar 1 and Final, I paid international fees. In Cameroon, my parent didn’t pay any fees for my Primary Education and with my Secondary School education, I got a Catholic Church Scholarship. Other than my parents who are from Nigeria and my ancestral home in South East Nigeria, what has Nigeria done for me or to make my life better that a keep a Nigerian Citizenship should be my priority 💁 It is my choice and their envy cannot change it.

Some of the reactions are due to envy. They hate that they can’t do the same or can’t afford to, so they condemn you. Those that are forcing you to stay a Nigerian, are they enjoying Nigeria? Are they not the ones wailing about bad governance every day, worse than people in Somalia? If you were born in Cameroon and have lived there for 5-10 years, then you are already a Cameroonian. You must not be a Nigerian. If you had presented yourself as a Cameroonian on this app from day 1, no one would have known that you have Nigerian parents. Your decision is valid.

Some Nigerian are very funny set. I’m the one who made a decision to renounce my Nigerian citizenship, applied for it and spent my own money. A citizenship I have because my parents are Nigerian and you are crying non stop about it 😂😂 What is going on ? Have you not heard that people renounced citizenship of first world countries? Some of you need to go out and touch grass. Nigerian as a country has not offered me any thing, so I didn’t even think it twice to renounce my Nigerian Citizenship. I have done things for Nigeria and will continue to do. As a matter of fact I have investment in Nigeria more than any other country that has offered me more in life than Nigeria Cameroon as my country of birth has offered me more than Nigeria. I have nothing there. What is there to be proud of Nigerian citizenship that some of you are hallucinating about. My reality is not yours. Mine is mine and yours is yours. If I want to visit Nigeria, I will apply for a visa and if they don’t approve my visa, I won’t visit. That is my choice. Make yours. Good morning Evening, have a wonderful day and God bless You and Yours, Amen 🙏

In only with Nigerian corrupt politicians and their enablers that care job is bad. Even when care job in UK offers more quality of life than most people working in the offices in Nigeria There is dignity in Labour. But to our corrupt politicians and jobbers, everything is bad to them except to steal and enable the embezzlement of our common wealth
🎙OLUOMO OF DERBY 🇳🇬 🇬🇧🇬🇭 🇿🇼@Oluomoofderby

@BwalaDaniel I’d like to challenge you to a public debate on your claim that the care sector is “modern slavery in the UK.” Your comments on Morayo’s show (@moakabash) contain serious misinformation that needs to be addressed openly, especially given the impact on Nigerian and wider African communities in the UK who are working and building livelihoods in this sector. I’ve worked in healthcare for years and have seen its positive impact on thousands of lives. I also spoke on this issue previously when I was interviewed on a podcast, where I shared my experience in the care sector. If you’re confident in your position, let’s have a Twitter Space debate with a neutral host. Set a date and time, I’m ready. We can agree to disagree in a respectful manner.

@Oluomoofderby Exactly. What is the benefit of a Nigerian citizenship to me? It has done nothing to me, rather it has done more harm than good.

I don’t believe we should be renouncing our Nigerian citizenship, but the reality is that many people are tired of Nigeria and have lost hope in the country. One honest question we should all be asking ourselves is: what exactly is the benefit of being a Nigerian citizen today?

I have today received a confirmation from my lawyer in Nigeria that my application to renounce my Nigerian Citizenship has been submitted to the SSFG and all fees paid as appropriate. I cannot wait for the approval.

I’m not a big fan of @elrufai and will never be but when you see someone like @officialABAT who can do anything to his close associate to the point of death, you must understand and appreciate that he has no good plan for Nigeria even you that want to kill yourself for him. No one is exempt from his brutality.

Peter Obi’s new lies Peter Obi’s recent claims of being targeted by the government—citing an incident involving his car at the airport, which, by his own account, must have resulted from flouting parking regulations—are simply unfounded and misleading.  As a pathological and serial liar, Mr Obi is intent on dragging the government into every personal inconvenience he encounters, often resorting to exaggeration and baseless allegations. His claim that he may not be alive for the January 2027 election and that people are being pressured not to invite him to social events is nothing more than a fabricated narrative, a page from his book of lies and propaganda.  These claims lack substance and are designed to attract undue sympathy and deflect attention from his credibility deficit and the problems faced by his SPV and his adopted political association, the NDC. It is important to note that Mr Obi has a substantial interest in Fidelity Bank. The institution continues to thrive as a result of the current administration’s robust economic reforms. The government is certainly not targeting the bank. Rather than being “haunted” by the government, Mr Obi appears to be grappling with the consequences of his litany of unfounded statements. The Tinubu government remains fully focused on consolidating its historic and beneficial reforms for the good of all Nigerians. It has neither the time nor the inclination to be distracted by Mr Obi’s self-serving narratives and lies or by his candidacy, as he constantly diminishes himself with specious, unverifiable utterances.

Onye, did you really mean this, or maybe it came out wrong? 🤷 I'd understand if you did say it, but I just want to gently point out that some of us who are Igbo have genuinely supported you, and you've even acknowledged that on Twitter before. I also believe that if you had reached out on this biopic of Ikemba, many of us myself included, would have gladly supported it. Igbo history, culture, and tradition mean a lot to me personally, and a biopic on Ikemba feels like part of our shared story, especially when it comes to the Biafran war. I bought most of the books you've published and gave them out to people for free. In fact, I bought 10 copies of your last publication that I was aware of. So I'd kindly ask you to reconsider the claim that your Igbo brothers don't support your work as I don't think that's quite fair to those of us who have. And please, try not to set your own people up for unnecessary drags online. Thank you for your understanding. Have a wonderful day Nwanne'm.
