Today SEPA is really proving to me what a few hours of direct sunlight, even in late March, can do on concrete. The Urban Heat Island is on full display with the 1pm observations(seen below). The SEPA cities are now 6 degrees warmer than areas further south in Maryland! Where I went wrong: Specifically in the I-78 corridor, I overestimated cloud cover by a few hours and underestimated the UHI effect. Everywhere else, a solid forecast I'd say. Meanwhile, there was 8-10" of snow in New York and Vermont Today so kudos to Mother Nature for pulling this off and proving me wrong. I did not think we would see 80° in PA with a Winter Storm raging in NY and Vermont, but here we are! On the bright side, no matter which type of weather you like, there something for everyone today!
