KLGA Prediction Market Rundown for July 15th The spread is 2°. WUG: 97 NWS: 99 HRRR: 97 GFS: 101 (always the hot one) Model Average: 98 Mark’s Forecast: There is a significant amount of smoke in the air on satellite coming out of Canada. It prevented today’s temperature from getting above 92° at KLGA when the forecast range was 95-97° with the GFS showing 99°. So, for tomorrow I expect temperatures to fall a little short of expectations once again. Winds will be out of the NW which will bring the smoke into the area. While we’ve all been staring at El Niño develop in the tropics, the Arctic Circle has quietly had the coldest June since 1958. Anyone know how the Winter of 1958-59 turned out? I’ll tell you… it was a prolifically cold and snowy winter in the US. Yes, it's true. I'm throwing my hat into the ring for US Senate. Why? I see a problem. The Senate has become a geriatric nursing home where aging politicians go and do absolutely nothing. The average age of the current US Senate is 64, with some being MUCH older than that. Frankly, I don't think someone who is old enough for retirement or greater is capable of representing the average person 45 and under who is struggling to make ends meet, build a family, own a house. By their next election cycle, the two Senators from Pennsylvania will be 60 and 64. I will be 43. I have lived the struggle along side my fellow Millennials and Gen Z's. We are the first generations in US history that is worse off than our parents. If things are going to improve for our generation, we need to elect younger people to office to fight for our needs. So, rather than just talk about how something should be done, I'm stepping up and saying, "Fine. I'll do it." Are you with me?

@Birdprenorphine As far as I am concerned the 2020 election and all other prior elections are a done deal. My focus is not on partisanship. I’m running to be a real representative for the needs of Millennials and Gen Z’s who have no representation right now in Pennsylvania.

When you say “support” the pro Israel lobby… I’m not entirely sure I understand the question. Lobbyists jobs are to push their special interests on politicians. Seeing as I’m running as a candidate of the people, for the people, with no ties to any special interest groups…I don’t think they’d like me very much.

@kingEURO2016 The only thing I can… use common sense to build a caucus of like-minded senators and vote as a block on those issues. With the Senate being so narrowly split along party lines, a group of 3-5 Senators can really have an impact.

@MeteoMark What are you going to do to fix the problems you have pointed out?

@BrianWeiler2 Even though you can’t vote, you can still help the campaign. After all, it is the US Senate and so any decisions a US senator makes does impact the whole country, not just their own state.

@MeteoMark I'm from Jersey so unfortunately cannot vote for you, but in full support of getting rid of the old crowd in the senate and passing a bill with term limits. It's funny, PA senators at their current ages are actually pulling the average age down! 😂 All the best on the campaign!

@CaseyWx Well this announcement has gone a long way towards building that team. But remember, the PA senate elections aren’t until 2028 & 2030.

@MeteoMark Best tip of advice would be to wait until you have a team around you before you announce it. One sniff of a Pro-AI stance and you could lose a good majority of the people that would vote for you!

It’s a Beautiful Day today! ☀️ Temperatures are in the 80s with a cool breeze and the sun is shining! Tomorrow and Wednesday will be warmer with temperatures pushing up into the 90s. Therefore Heat Asvisories have been issued (Orange Color) for much of the Northeast US. Meanwhile an Extreme Heat Watch is in effect for the Philadelphia area as well as a portion of Northern Delaware and Southern New Jersey where air temperatures will be closer to 100°. #wxtwitter #wxX
