I just tested Sonnet 3.7, and holy shit, it’s so good. With extended thinking enabled, it was able to answer some of the toughest questions in embedded systems OS and advanced mathematics. These are the kinds of questions that only the o1 pro model had been able to solve for me before, and it took six minutes. Sonnet did it in just one. I also used the base model for creativity-focused tasks, and it performed even better than the old Sonnet and even outshined GPT-4o. For example, I asked it to write a letter to humanity in the style of Bukowski based on its knowledge. The result was better than anything I have ever gotten from the previous Sonnet, GPT-4o, or any other AI. You can find it in my next tweet.
