You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him. Be better than yesterday, even if it's only thing you do.

@MrMakinMoney100 @Blake5874 @Corey_Dean @Sir_BeefWelly @CardPurchaser @eBay NM imparts a standard. If the card fails to meet the standard, then it's not unthinkable for someone to return it. Look, as crazy as it is, these days the price difference between 9 and 10 are 10x. If you want to sell a card on an auction website, you either grade or sell raw.

@AtlasMighty @Blake5874 @Corey_Dean @Sir_BeefWelly @CardPurchaser @eBay I don’t understand though. If the card is raw , saying something is near mint is just an opinion & comes down to the person viewing it. I list all my cards as near mint unless it has a noticeable flaw & have never had anyone disagree.

@Blake5874 @Corey_Dean @Sir_BeefWelly @CardPurchaser @eBay Nah, I think you're missing the point. You can't list a card under a grade and get upset when someone said this isn't the right grade. If you sold it as raw, then it is what it is. It's like selling a PSA 10 and sending a 9

@StatisticUrban Florida highways are nuts, because we have more out of state drivers doing 90 on 75. But you get off the main through fare and Florida is pretty safe.

Here's a map of traffic fatalities per 100M vehicle-miles. Florida's roads all seem ludicrously dangerous.

@fandompulse There are some great adaptations, but it's few. BFG was a decent one. Lord of the rings was a great adaptation. (Spare me what Christopher said, I know he didn't like them) But then you get the Witcher, or end of game of thrones level bad, or worse, rings of power.

George R.R. Martin on how film and TV adaptations make the story worse: "Everywhere you look, there are more screenwriters and producers eager to take great stories and “make them their own.”   It does not seem to matter whether the source material was written by Stan Lee, Charles Dickens, Ian Fleming, Roald Dahl, Ursula K. Le Guin, J.R.R. Tolkien, Mark Twain, Raymond Chandler, Jane Austen, or… well, anyone. No matter how major a writer it is, no matter how great the book, there always seems to be someone on hand who thinks he can do better, eager to take the story and “improve” on it.   “The book is the book, the film is the film,” they will tell you, as if they were saying something profound.  Then they make the story their own. They never make it better, though.  Nine hundred ninety-nine times out of a thousand, they make it worse." Is he right?

@Hitchslap1 @nilowins I'm my defense here, I didn't see it. Had a popover on it. Still, just a normal distribution.

@TaroTheCerelean @PingasHarkinian And cloud gets close to Aerith because he thinks he's Zach. But he's also could and has history with Tifa, so it's complicated. It's only once he goes through his comatose period and sorts his stuff out, that Tifa and Cloud really reconnect.

@AtlasMighty @sky_and_sunshin @ChristinaPushaw I don’t have a dog in this fight… but seems that the actual battle is with AI… not visas. But most people think their jobs are still safe. So… I guess whe you live in that dreamland visas feel more threatening.

we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company. #### today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone. first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if you’re outside the U.S. you’ll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay. we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly. i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures. a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers. we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold. to those of you leaving…i’m grateful for you, and i’m sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward. to those staying…i made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow. jack

Correct me if I’m wrong If the #Bears played in Indiana 8-9 games a year. Wouldn’t that mean players would pay Indiana’s state taxes and not Illinois?

I’m trying my hardest to find an SUV that’s suitable for three to four car seats that isn’t either 1) Giant Expedition / Yukon / Tahoe / Sequoia 2) A complete piece of crap (bye bye Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade) 3) Has a cramped third row (bye bye Mazda / Volvo / Honda Pilot) 4) VW Atlas & Acadia only have 6 seats. There is none, besides maybe the Highlander. Lol, the minivan is seriously the best option if you are going to have 3 young children at least in car seats
