#EarlierToday UNBS wins shs 77Bn case against REN Publishers Ltd and Multiplex Limited The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) has won a case worth over shs. 77 billion filed by REN Publishers Ltd and Multiplex Limited at the arbitral tribunal. The claimants, REN Publishers and Multiplex Limited alleged that UNBS breached a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in 2014 between UNBS and REN Publishers for the provision of electronic tags to UNBS Certified companies. UNBS in defence asserted that it did all that was required of it but REN publishers and her partner Multiplex Limited failed to roll out the project. A panel of 3 arbitrators presiding over the matter decided by their decision delivered on 31/01/2025 that UNBS fulfilled her obligations while REN and her partner Multiplex Limited failed to roll out the project. The arbitrators dismissed the claim. The UNBS Executive Director, Eng.
