Today, the Minister of @mtic_uganda, Hon. @STanna444 together with the State Minister for Trade Hon. Gen. @wilson_mbadi held a meeting with the @UNCCI_UG in which the two ministers tasked the leadership of the chamber to be more transparent and accountable in order to have a vibrant chamber of commerce that benefits the business community. In the meeting that took place at the Ministry boardroom, the Vice President of @UNCCI_UG @R_kwesiga briefed the ministers on the operations of the chamber noting the recent Board elections that brought in new members that will help to transform the work of the chamber. He also highlighted on the ongoing sensitization trainings of members the new board has carried out despite the challenges.












Today at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala The Minister for @mtic_uganda, Hon. @STanna444 was officiating at the Launch of the Oxford Economics report - a case study of Uganda Breweries Limited that highlights @UgandaBreweries impact across the value chain, its contribution to national economy and the challenges in the sector. In his address, Hon. @STanna444 appreciated the Oxford Economics report, noting that the data will help the Ministry plan for the industrial sector. He emphasized, "Ugandans do business with a lot of speculation. No business can grow without research." The Ministry remains committed to evidence-based policy for a competitive formal economy.






The Minister for @mtic_uganda Hon. @STanna444 has pledged support to over 1,000 South Africa returnees at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi. He encouraged them to start over and invest in Uganda, a land of opportunities. "You are not the first to experience displacement. Many have been oppressed but managed to start over and succeeded," he said, citing examples of Indians expelled from Uganda, white farmers expelled from Zimbabwe, and survivors of the Second World War. /1
