Oooof I know I am in the minority, but the Ryder Cup is not in my top three golf events and maybe not even top 4. It’s become awful and a big part of that problem is on my side of the pond. Over in Europe the big problem is that you all sell out to the resorts. I might have watched an hour of the last Ryder Cup this past year. Give me the Walker Cup by a million!!!

@MerionChuck My forecaddie was so bad at Bandon Trails in 2021 that I spoke to caddie master. Caddie interrupted shots, didn’t know where to stand, & gave me shot advice after I told him I wanted 0 interaction and to focus on 3 that wanted it. They comped my round and valued the feedback.

@NickMurray91 @KVanValkenburg @fried_egg_golf Luckily I was able to find a spare bedroom in Augusta through a friend of a friend. The Airbnb “solution” was a hodgepodge of housing, 5 or 6 different ones spread all over the area, some 30+ miles away. Would’ve been a total nightmare.

@KVanValkenburg @fried_egg_golf Just as a point of feedback, Masters Housing Bureau is sanctioned by ANGC. It isn’t just some “third party” site. I’ve booked with them every time I’ve gone. The risk with VRBO & AirBNB is they can cancel on you anytime, and then you’re really screwed. MHB you can negotiate too

@Baulch I do a driver cover from everywhere I play, and the baby blue wood cover is just to add to my rotation of baby blue wood covers from which I swap out frequently

@joshualowenthal No doubt! I don’t think I’ll use SW much anymore honestly. 30k points couldn’t get me to Maine this summer which it has in the past. First class to Maine this summer was cheaper than SW extra legroom, and I’m 2 hours closer to our camp flying into Bangor vs Portland.
