Texas A&M tight ends: If you can catch a rugby ball, you can catch a football 🏉🏈 #GigEm

What opinion about sports do you have that would put you in this position against everyone else?

What opinion about sports do you have that would put you in this position against everyone else?

Let’s talk about this. I love this image. Here’s what I see. • Bat at the top of the zone. • Head in-line with the bat. • Playing with a broken right pinky finger. • Left hand fingers gripping the bat. When this happened in last nights game a lot of thoughts ran through my mind. This game is so important to this young man and his country he’s playing with a broken bone. Japanese players work hard at bunting and bunting with two strikes is no big deal for a player like this who has had who knows how many reps doing it. But the biggest, and I’m sure most noticed thing, was his left hand fingers gripping the bat. I’m sure many will think, say and be adamant that this is WRONG with little to know thought that this guy is a professional at it and has done this more times than most combined. I got to play over in Japan for two season and this is how Japanese players are taught to hold the bat while bunting from day one. I think what most fail to realize is that just because it’s not how we were taught how to do it doesn’t mean it’s wrong. That’s ignorance. I suggest stop thinking the way we learned is absolute and just start observing. Pay attention. Ask questions. Watch the little things. These guys are literally experts in their field and very deliberate with how they do things, how they talk about it, what they think and want to feel. So much to learn from just paying attention with an open mind.
