@BrainHarrington @fold_app 100%. I always check the gift card list before buying from a brand online, so a search bar would avoid lots of scrolling
English

Would a search bar on the @fold_app gift cards tab increase your enjoyment of the gift card rewards and buying experience?

@willreeves @fold_app - some feedback: 1. Some of these filters are loading a blank screen. Screen loading forever. 2. Add search for just the titles. Scrolling takes forever to function. Keep up the great work.
English

@moonbootspleb @Gemini Have been eyeing that one recently and was wondering this too. Seems like a no-brainer especially with no annual fee
English

@moonbootspleb @willreeves This would be huge. I’d buy gift cards way more if you could get exact amounts
English

@willreeves Is there a reason Fold doesn’t allow purchase of gift cards in non-discrete amounts?
Would be nice to buy my Bitcoin Magazine Giftcard through the fold card for the exact amount of the price of my conference ticket in May.

@Matt_Hougan I like this framing. I’ve seen people start to get it when they realize that most tech stocks are just “NGU” with little/no dividends. Only they can get diluted any time and are harder to take with you if you move jurisdictions. Most in the US have a hard time appreciating this
English

@matthewjablack @sethforprivacy Thank you! Good to know but seems rare if managed correctly. Very reasonable trade off for the improvement in UX
English

@CanadanDevlin @sethforprivacy The big one is you’re at the whim of your domain provider
A malicious domain provider could replace your payment details with their own

English

BIP 353 is huge for #Bitcoin!
One username, get paid on-chain or over lightning with no address reuse or loss of privacy
@sethforprivacy wrote a great guide to setting this up 👇

English

@sethforprivacy @matthewjablack Got it, thanks! I had a feeling it was too good to be true. But yes it seems like a huge UX improvement and also just plain cool to host on a custom domain
English

No, privacy is far more complex than that. These just solve the "how do I pay someone without learning everything about their other received payments" angle.
Both are really a UX improvement that also has privacy improvements as well. But still need things to improve post-receive like via Coinjoin.

@LukeGromen @gladstein Listening to the @PrestonPysh podcast on this now. Thanks!

@CanadanDevlin @gladstein Already been done in Guatemala.
Google "Guatemala BTC election audit" and see what it pulls up

@iAmNotSupermany @APompliano In fairness I think short-term mining centralization in the US could lead to long-term decentralization if nation states follow suit. But yes I’m skeptical of campaign promises by default until they come true :)
English

@CanadanDevlin @APompliano agreed, my guess is he doesn't address a single crypto think once in office. Also wouldn't America mining all the bitcoin be a little centralized :)
English

@nk1tz @francispouliot_ Plus he ended saying “good luck with your Bitcoin and all that other stuff you play with” 😅 Still big but RFK clearly gets it and takes this way more seriously
English

@francispouliot_ - fire Gary
- protect self custody
- free Ross
- deregulate energy production
- pro stables
Kind of all I got from that.
Overall cringe and misreading of the room.
Far from from an RFK-level understanding.
English

@iAmNotSupermany @APompliano Caught that too 😅 literally the worst way you could end the speech if you want people to think you’re taking it seriously lmao
English

@APompliano he also said "good luck with Bitcoin, and all that other stuff you play with" 🤣🤣🤣 Dude thinks we're playing around
English

@willreeves Most mentioned here already but:
- Joint accounts (it’s shocking how few fintechs have this)
- lightning in/out
- credit card (IF rewards can be competitive with other CC providers… otherwise makes sense to use other cards and just pay it off via Fold card/ACH)
English

What else?

Here's my running list of features @fold_app needs to be as damn close to perfect as you can get: - Auto push to card for debit card/ACH transactions. This makes living 💯 on Bitcoin easier with auto pay for bills. - Deposit BTC/withdrawal specific amounts. That's the list.
English

@willreeves Joint account (if possible) to assist in orange-pilling the wives out there, and eventually a ‘GoHenry’ style setup for the kiddos. Tbh we’re running out of improvement ideas’…@fold_app has put together a top shelf product as is 🤝

@b_crane1 @willreeves @Strike @ZapriteApp @BeaverBitcoin_ @GridlessCompute @nunchuk_io @shakepay Adding @bitcoinwell but they’re already publicly traded 👏
English

@b_crane1 @willreeves So many. @Strike @ZapriteApp @BeaverBitcoin_ @GridlessCompute @nunchuk_io @shakepay. The list could go on and on…
