How quickly people forgot the intergalactic hissy fit around Sheduer's reps when he was 4th on the depth chart. And that was with him being on time for rookie camp. Sorsby would be almost 3 months behind

@_PeteSmith_ This makes no sense. They’re drafting players they haven’t seen play in games. I’m sure they can tell more from film + whatever he does in meetings and practice this year than they can scouting any QB in the draft.

Timeline isn't remotely realistic to make that conclusion. You are signing up for Sorsby PLUS another QB.

@_PeteSmith_ Great point. I keep seeing people assume Sorsby is this locked-in tier 1 talent at QB. If the Browns can’t even see him play in 2026 (which could very well be the case), they’d have no game reps to judge what they have in him before the draft.

I agree, it’s a really tough scenario. First of all it almost puts an end to the QBs that are here now, and if Sheduer plays well this year it creates more drama next year. But it’s also a move that can put the franchise far ahead of its timeline if they land a franchise guy for a 3rd and still have two firsts not worrying about QB next year. It’s a really tough spot with high risk and super high reward.

@thedawgspodcast I know I’m in an island but I think you have to at least throw a 3rd at him. If he can solve the future of the QB room and then you have two firsts to get other players with your QB already being able to learn and develop this year it puts us in a nice spot next year

Rams should be pissed. Sorsby is a significantly better prospect than Ty Simpson and in all honesty is much closer to Mendoza than he is to Simpson. Awesome live arm. Nice blend of touch and power. Mobile. Can play from pocket. Browns should spend their 2nd to lock it down.

If Brendan Sorsby entered this years draft I’d want him over Mendoza. If he enters next years draft I want him over Arch Manning. I’ve never been this convinced on a QB prospect ever. I’ve never done this about a prospect yet, but I’ve done so much film work on him and I’m totally convinced.
