This has to be the most popular cod. Even if statistics don’t show that, it was the game that had everyone playing. The coolest kids in school were talking about the new DLC and zombies. My mom’s friends in their 40’s at the time were playing it. My family had a huge Christmas party in 2010, it was being played on the living room TV the whole night and everyone wanted a turn.

It is a high skill gap though. I'm 22 so i've played through all eras of COD, the Golden era, the jetpack era, the modern era, and now the movement era. I can assure you 90% of the players are CASUAL. Those of us that have college, work, and lives outside of gaming want to play games without getting sweated on by a four letter username who files across the map like a damn flying squirrel going 80-2. The ONLY thing saving COD is micro transactions which were implemented via a deal with Jefferey Epstein (not a conspiracy, it's true look it up). Without 12 year old Timmy using moms credit card for dopamine stimulation, COD would have died years ago. BO3 definitely had a skill gap because of the jetpacks but the jetpacks weren't fast, they didn't move you around quickly like sliding does. Im actually fairly good with the movement, I can handle it and even move around crazy myself, but it doesnt take Einstein to acknowledge that 90% of the players just want to play casually but cant because of the 10% who think they're gonna be champion twitch streamers.

@ExoGhost Omni movement is good idea it’s just treyarch didn’t do it right. The slide distance in bo6/7 is insane and on top of that you can slide side to side.

@GoBarSouth23 @MixcnG Yeah not true. I had plenty of friends with mod menu, aim assist and uav hacks. MW2, BO1 and MW3 were completely full with cheater.

Real question, did the old CoDs even have an anti cheat? 🤔 Back in their prime, I don’t remember running into cheaters in pubs or ranked at all. Only time I ever noticed anything sketchy was way later, after the game had already gone through its full life cycle.
