Life Update - After much prayer and many conversations with my wife, our family has decided it’s best for us to move to Wisconsin. I’ve resigned as Head Coach at The Academy. Those two years were life-changing. That program gave me my first opportunity to become a head coach — a dream I’d chased since I was a kid — and I’m forever grateful for the trust they placed in me. We built something special together: developing young men on and off the field, creating a tight-knit culture, and laying a strong foundation for the future. To the players, coaches, parents, and entire Academy community — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You helped shape me as a coach and as a man. Excited to announce that I’ll be joining the coaching staff at Cedarburg High School for the 2026 season. Can’t wait to get to work with the Bulldogs and pour into the next chapter. Family first. Go Bulldogs! 🟠⚫️

@Coach__Bartlett You can either make a group with 2 lines put together and copy and paste that around or save a blocking icon as a PNG. Do a couple at different lengths and just add them in as images

Anyone have an idea how to easily make the blocking symbol at the end of a line in slides/powerpoint for showing blocking in a playbook. Not digging the circles/diamonds anymore 🤣

First off, study Pete Jenkins. He is the Godfather of Defensive line play! So when talking about playing a gap and a half, in PJ’s system you have a primary and secondary gap. Think of a 3 technique in a 4-man front being fully responsible for the B gap he is aligned in, while also playing outside half of the A gap. The nose would be fully responsible for the A gap he is aligned in, while also playing the inside half of the other A gap. Both defense linemen are only playing the half gap if the ball enter into it. Other than that, they play ball. There is a whole list of techniques that need to be mastered but I won’t go into those details. I will however include some examples from Georgia this year playing gap & a half technique.
