@zach_barnett Most of the time, especially in DFW, you’re able to find JV games due to other teams in the area playing far away teams/out of state opponents. IE: Carroll vs. Jenks / Allen vs. Midland Lee / Prosper vs. Westlake. Just hope it’s the same week as your game…

Said it once, but it’s worth repeating… My best coaching job wasn’t the year we were state runner up with 5 D1 guys… It was the 6-4 year with ZERO college players & the JOY that came with it. Your validation is NOT in W/L… Rather, did I do the best job I could?

I used to think winning a state title meant you’d arrived as a coach. Wearing title Rings at clinics is a form of self-validation. Championships don’t define coaching ability. Plenty of average coaches were just in the right place at the right time. Coaching is bigger than this.
