@DavydKeyes @EffinOfficial Caving in, joining with, & contributing to the AI establishment is literally the opposite of “punk”. Punk is the notion of DIY; AI is the opposite of that because you’re quite literally making and creating nothing while the algorithmic probability machine does it all for you.

it’s kind of reassuring that every person and project that supports AI i find to be unimaginably lame and nearly everyone I respect is like vehemently against it

Geese marketing scheme doesn't diminish their talent, but it does make a bunch of true believers look like complete rubes for believing the kayfabe that "indie" acts are somehow more authentic than those without that branding.
