@SamQuinnCBS The Spurs have no mid range threats. Thats why I like Rui and Butler. Rui Pump n Pop step in and Butlers post game creates a team with all three levels. I think Wemby could cover Rui just as good as everyone else. Spurs D is play tight and send to Wemby anyway...

@DavydKeyes Yea I've given a bit of thought to Rui. He's probably attainable for their MLE. Question is if they want to deal with his defensive shortcomings.

My single favorite free agent fit this offseason is Kristaps Porzingis to the Spurs for the MLE. They can keep him on ice for 82 games and the first round and then just bust him out for the 10-12 Wemby rest minutes they need when the real games start.

@DJ_B_RADICAL @SamQuinnCBS I'm not a die hard Castle fan either. Only Wemby and Harper are untouchable to me. Knowing Spurs they will probably not move any big piece though. Fox and his wife just unfollowed the Spurs on instagram though.

@SamQuinnCBS I dream of a Harper, Vassell, Butler, Hachimura, Wemby lineup. With a Castle (D specialist, 6th man) coming in and out of starting depending on opponent. Allows Castle to run the rock and give a Ginolbiliesque change-up.

@DavydKeyes Yes and no. Three years from now when they're making market rate, that matters. But at the moment, if you can get a good player in the $25-30 million range and then hope to extend him under favorable terms down the line, you'd probably prefer to do that.

@SamQuinnCBS Castle and Harper signings need a clear book though.

@DavydKeyes I'm not sure Golden State wants to go for a guard with that salary slot and I think San Antonio wants to use that slot on someone a bit longer-term. Would love to see Butler on another true contender though.

@arjnmpm @SamQuinnCBS Currys last year under contract. Wonder if Draymond will take a small one year deal to stay with Curry for it. Doubt the Warriors want to do a large deal with him.

@DavydKeyes @SamQuinnCBS The problem is while Curry can still be amazing, he only does it like once every 2 or 3 games these days. He needs someone more reliable. The pie in the sky dream (which I admit prolly won't happen) is Jaylen Brown.

@arjnmpm @SamQuinnCBS Fox is best in a fast paced offensive system. You have Curry to be clutch in playoffs. I am a Spurs fan though so I'm a little biased.

@SamQuinnCBS Warriors save 6 million. Get a player who can allow curry to stay off ball in Fox. Kornet use to be a three point shooter and could become a stretch for the Warriors scheme
