
Interestingly, this is exactly what happens in Russia on a regular basis.
Now we are all concerned not so much about the special operation as about some problems in domestic politics.
Well, just because it all depends on how they will be solved.
Speaking in general terms, today's Russia is a Western country in terms of the principles of power (and culturally it is its western part, which is much closer to us), living in accordance with Western ideas, disappointed in its own ideas about the Soviet era.
But the experience of the last 30 years shows that we need our own clearer reasons for formulating our position in the world, and that they differ from the generally accepted ones. And this is a difficult task, because this time there is not even a single candidate in sight. It is clear that there are more pro-Western and less pro-Western people. And shy people who suddenly saw great pragmatism and adequacy to the real world in the way the Soviet Union was organized.
