We've fumbled on his ability to cut inside and shoot/cross this season. His biggest creative asset gone because we have a striker with zero box threat + a RB and captain that hog his inside space. Berta and Arteta have screwed up on this sadly.

@NadavIsHere Yeah and the fact that he's basically remained at the same level for so long it makes it hard to really call him "the future" anymore. Sucks tho, after 2018 I was so sure one of JID or Denzel Curry would make that climb to the top but I'm just not seeing enough from them now 🕊️

Times when Arteta was forced to field a team with the best possible profiles rather than names he depended on like Ode and Gyok. Also shows how poor Arteta is with depth as he just deleted 9erino as soon as Gyok came back. Theres no earning a spot once u have it under Mikel

@Craaaque @whosgenrul The idea is that normally opp wingers stay on FBs and with them so high up it forces those wingers to be further back as well. Its a more defensive strategy coz it helps negate counters. The problem is it forces the opp to sit in a deep block for which we have no solutions for

That is EXACTLY what Gyokeres was brought in for. Let Havertz play the opening 60mins and get us 2 goals up. Then sub on Gyokeres when teams are forced to play high late on to get a goal and hit them in transitions. More please.

@EBL2017 Main thing you blame Arteta on is starting Gyok. Even tho these criticisms are valid, theyre still secondary in comparison You have to ask why we were so quick to shoehorn Gyok back into the XI after one half vs Villa away when Merino had 7 G/A in 6 up top when Gyok was injured

Judge Ødegaard based on output and you'll always be let down. Arsenal's creativity has to stem from their dynamism in central areas (opposite vertical movements between Ødegaard and Zubimendi + box-crashing) and dribbling + passing from out wide (Saka and Eze). Arteta. Come on.

@MoArsenal86 Doesnt matter when the striker can't play basic football. If you play Eze you want someone for him to link with and drop deep so Eze can take the space above, which Merino did If you play Ø you want someone to maximize the benefits of having control which are balls in the box.

Arteta is risk-averse, won’t drop Ø and is obsessed with control/OOP. For this you need ELITE attackers. Spending £300m+ and not buying a single ELITE attacker knowing HOW Arteta sets up is hilarious. Should be 11pts clear but ZERO goals when it counts. Don’t act surprised now.
