Right. Only women care about proper care/handling of their tools. Feel free to go out to the garage and use that stuff any which way.
J. Daniel Sawyer@dsawyer

How to understand the difference between men and women: Him: Where are the scissors? Her: You can't use those, they're for cloth. >>time passes<< Her: WHY ARE YOU TRIMMING YOUR BEARD WITH YOUR POCKET KNIFE?!?!?!? Him: You hid the scissors. In other words, women care about intended use, while men only care if they get the job done. H/T to @kittyniciaian who did not in any way inspire this entirely fictional anecdote that in no way happened three minutes ago

There is no more "working class" in the sense of a class of functional workers who accept earning far less than the middle class, and thus provide services that feel affordable to the middle class. Your plumber wants and will have all the same stuff that *you* have. Or More.

@Dannyhbrown @HannaCanadia Thats the point. He is expecting the women to provide him a service. Spend time, have sex. Likely cook and clean. He needs to just pay for the services he wants. With 49K he can easily find a woman to cook and clean for him plus sex. She will be young and hot. Simple

A man paid you $49k to find a woman whoโ€™s in a relationship already and isnโ€™t interested in him? I have to respect your scam, maโ€™am
Blaine Anderson@datingbyblaine

Why is matchmaking expensive? To illustrate, hereโ€™s how Iโ€™ll lose money on a clientโ€™s $49,000 package. Client is 46, 6โ€™2, exited tech founder. Heโ€™s looking for a woman 27-33, very specific criteria around match personality, appearance, and profession. Without diving into specifics, she: โ€ข Isnโ€™t easily searchable online... โ€ข Isnโ€™t likely to reply when we find herโ€ฆ โ€ข Isnโ€™t likely to be singleโ€ฆ โ€ข Often has a deal-breaker trait we canโ€™t screen for without a phone callโ€ฆ โ€ข Isnโ€™t necessarily interested in my clientโ€ฆ I was expecting this to be a difficult search, so I quoted $49,000. I wasnโ€™t expecting ~100 hours of labor to find each match, not including communication with the client! To date Iโ€™ve spent $45,000 on salaries for the women staffed on his search, plus $2,750 on styling and photos, and we still owe the client 2 matches... Before considering overhead (let alone opportunity cost) this will be a huge L financially. Things balance out though. Most engagements are profitable. Some engagements are quite profitable. For example, a new client in NYC paid $30,000 and paused after his first match, because heโ€™s 99% sure we found his wife. That's still a new relationship, and engagements last 9 months (6 months of active matching + up to 3 months of pause), so we could be on the hook for more work in coming months. But you get the point ๐Ÿ™

My even hotter take is 99% of "inconveniences" around having kids are just society making things difficult to access for families rather than inherent issues with kids. Car seats until 12 and "5 seater vehicles" not fitting 3 car seats in the back are great examples of this.
M@MuneneInc

My unpopular take before the year ends is that having kids is low-key an inconvenience and society just hates admitting it.

It happened when the predictable outcome of every attempt at air travel became a night spent on the cold floor of an airport thanks to endless delays. You want me to wear a suit to the airport, treat me like a human and leave the hell on time.

@allie__voss I think the issue more so is that women are willing to be friends with men they would never date, and women want that firm boundary to not be romantically approached by undesireable men that theyโ€™re friends with.

A guy eventually being interested in you doesn't mean the friendship "wasn't real" and you need to stop thinking about it this way Sure, there are guys who do that, but what's MUCH more common is that you hang around someone compatible and start to become interested in them

If you're only doing 5 minutes of housecleaning or cooking a day, your house is dirty and unorganized, and you're feeding your kids trash.
Maximus Decimus Meridius@ChadThunderD

@Corbienest @Hestia_Esq @toddamtrib @bumbadum14 only thing there that's actually hard there is housekeeping, but what's that take a max of 10 hours a week? the necessities of cooking and laundry take like 5 minutes. congratulations. The dude probably works at least 40 hours a week, I'm pretty sure he could do it.

One question that I ponder is: having more kids (I love kids) vs having a smaller number of kids and being able to provide certain things (paying for college, etc). Not to mention your own retirement, which will certainly burden your kids if you don't save for

@MurrayHillGuy1 Thereโ€™s dignity in staying single for life than to settle for an un-marriageable person. And if no one wants to marry that person, then theyโ€™re probably un-marriageable as a fact, not an opinion.

Women need to be meaner to each other. Friend of a friend said she had a โ€œperfect girlโ€ to set me up withโ€ฆ I said cool, show me a picโ€ฆ I saw the pic and stopped her mid-sentence, sheโ€™s fat with a beautiful mid face. I told her straight up: โ€œThis is disrespectful. I take care of my body every day, she clearly doesnโ€™t. Go set her up with a guy who also quit on himself.โ€ She got pissy and acted shockedโ€ฆ like Iโ€™m the crazy one for having standards. Women will lie to each other all day about โ€œyouโ€™re gorgeous babe,โ€ then get mad when a man tells the truth. Now my original friend is mad at me too lolโ€ฆ Am I in the wrong?
