No single image of Starfield better illustrates how toothless, gutless, lacking in grit and texture than this one does. I made the mistake of visiting Neon late in my playthrough, excited about the idea of visiting a sleazy Cyberpunk planet. What I found was a clown show. There is something hollow and sad about the entirety of Starfield's worldbuilding and lore, that I can't even bring myself to be mad about - I'm just disappointed. This doesn't feel like a universe comprised of competing factions and people, it feels like a bunch of empty mannequins shooting at each other over nothing. Everything feels so dumbed down and family friendly. All the edges filed off to make everything palatable and bland. It's sad.

The entire Steam player count discourse would disappear overnight if publishers shared their player counts and sales openly. Itโs not perfect, but Steam player counts is the closest thing to transparency that regular consumers have access to
Itโs an objectively good thing for people buying games, since numbers arenโt biased and donโt have conflicts of interest, unlike media and influencers. Itโs kind of weird to claim that itโs doing โirreparableโ and โunnecessaryโ damage without any proof or elaboration

This entire lawsuit is about getting age verification onto Steam like governments are pushing on platforms like Discord.
They donโt care about the children. They want your entire digital footprint to figure out better ways to control it.

Yeah, the more I read into this New York lawsuit against Valve, the more I feel it has nothing to do with the gambling mechanics (which I do view as a problem). Letitia James website makes the motivation clear... They make a point to call out video games CAUSING real violence.

There are no aliens. Even if there were (and there aren't) they would have no way of getting here. The distances are simply too vast. Far, far too vast.
The nearest star outside of our own sun is 4.2 light-years away. No aliens, no matter how clever, will ever be able to travel anywhere near the speed of light. The laws of physics prevent it. To accelerate any mass at all (even a pebble) to anything approaching even 1/3rd the speed of light would take incomprehensibly vast amounts of energy. You need a lot of spaceship (and I mean YUGE) to hold that much energy. So, now you've got a heck of a lot more than a pebble to move. Your energy problem just got infinitely worse.
It's impossible folks. ET ain't out there, and even if he was, he ain't dropping by for a visit.
