Found out today how hard it is to acknowledge your neighbors in a friendly way with a mask over half your face. Smiles don’t work. I’ve been attempting to smile under the mask enough to make my eyes crinkle, and adding a slight nod.

If the volunteer dairy farmers are able to pull off this big purchase of cheddar, does anyone know if any food pantry networks in NYC able to cut up 40 pound blocks? If so, I will try to snare some for our NYC people.

This won't impress UK friends, who've been eating British asparagus since, like, St. Patrick's Day but J and I are having a grand time with our local crop, which materialized only about a week ago. The asparagus in the picture awaits a couple of poached eggs & some grilled bread.
