@kidzrevil Agreed for the masses. People still gonna vibe to what they want when it comes around. Personally, I’m no longer tuned into what that man has going on. Stage designs look cool from what I’ve seen but I couldn’t care any less about what music or clothes he’s peddling

The Hormuz Letter
The Hormuz Letter@HormuzLetter·
Every position Trump has taken on the Strait of Hormuz. In order. In 35 days. "We will escort tankers as soon as possible." "It would be an honor to keep the strait open." "I'm demanding these countries protect their own territory." "This is the last time. I will give Iran 48 hours." "Iran is begging for peace. We will give them more time." "Open up the Strait of Trump. I mean, Hormuz." Reopening Hormuz is "not a core objective." "We don't need the strait. Get it yourself." "The strait will open up naturally." "Open it immediately or I'll bomb your power plants." "Back to the stone ages." "Take the oil and make a fortune." "We have no role in Hormuz." "Bridges next, then Electric Power Plants." "48 hours before all Hell reigns down." Oil was $73 before the war. It closed Friday at $111. Fifteen positions. One strait.

What Iran is doing is admirable. They have used measured proportionate responses (militarily and via the media) to control the narrative. They are succeeding in illustrating that key allies will be on the wrong side of this if they enable the aggressors (US and Israel).

@prkyk71 @mkhalili @bbcnickrobinson @ZackPolanski The legal allegation is allowed to proceed in court because the factual allegations (if proven) amount to a genocide (the legal allegation). If they weren’t, the court would have dismissed. So the ICJ is allowing the claim to proceed so SA can try to prove their “facts.”

Amnesty International say what is happening in Palestine is a genocide. The UN Special Rapporteur say it's a genocide. Countless genocide scholars say it's a genocide. How are we still doing this? And why is the BBC doing this? youtu.be/Es_wxH04bgs?si…

@prkyk71 @mkhalili @bbcnickrobinson @ZackPolanski You don’t understand difference of a factual allegation & the resulting legal allegation. Killing a race of people indiscriminately is genocide. The ICJ allowed the allegations to continue (despite Israel’s arguments) because the SPECIFIC allegations SA (if proven) = genocide.

@FourtyFOURTY @mkhalili @bbcnickrobinson @ZackPolanski You seem confused. The allegation before the ICJ is that Israel is violating the 1948 Genocide Convention. The ICJ has drawn no conclusions on the merits of the case and it certainly never said the allegation is 'plausible'. Thats it.

@RogueCfpb People assume revolving credit and “open end credit” are synonymous just because the market has historically treated a periodic interest rate applied to an outstanding balance as the best way to monetize revolving credit.

@RogueCfpb Ability to repay test argument under TILA Ais a loser. Open Credit exists if a fee may imposed on outstanding unpaid balance, which Klarna doesn’t. Installment fees calculated at the time of origination don’t count. Allegations 109 + 161 (intentionally) concede this point.

Hard to draw an ideological line between this activity by Klarna and overdrafts, generally, which are, by these standards, a form of credit. The “infantilization” of America’s consumers continue (ht to a real nerd out there for that characterization. I’d tag him but I’m not sure he’d want to be tagged on this. But you know who you are)
Rob Freund@RobertFreundLaw

A class action filed today against Klarna alleges it extends revolving credit with no income check, targets the financially vulnerable, and then locks them into mandatory autopay, so it gets paid before rent or groceries. The complaint draws parallels to pre-2008 subprime mortgages, even calling Klarna "Collateralized DoorDash Obligations."

@prkyk71 @mkhalili @bbcnickrobinson @ZackPolanski No, the allegations are about the killing (specifically the way it is occurring, and the intent behind it), the conclusion (according to the court) is that the allegations (if true) amount to genocide. It’s really not that confusing, you seem to not like this.

@FourtyFOURTY @mkhalili @bbcnickrobinson @ZackPolanski That is just nonsensical. The allegation is genocide, so obviously if its 'proven' then its genocide. What you said originally was that the 'plausibility' related to the allegations. It doesn't. And you've accepted that you were wrong. Thanks and have a good day yourself.

@prkyk71 @mkhalili @bbcnickrobinson @ZackPolanski For the 7000th time, nobody has said allegations prove anything. That’s what the trial is for. The point is, after looking at the allegations, the court thinks what has been alleged (if true) could be genocide. Now we wait for trial to prove those allegations. Have a good day!

@FourtyFOURTY @mkhalili @bbcnickrobinson @ZackPolanski Allegations prove nothing because anyone can allege anything. In this case, Iran has engineered SA to make a bad faith allegation of genocide. That those involved are now trying to broaden the definition of genocide shows the weakness of the case and their utter desperation.

Murray: Is it true that people making under $184k pay a 12.4% Social Security tax rate? Dahl: Yes Murray: And the rate for someone making $1 million? Dahl: 2.2% Murray: So, a 12.4% tax for people making less than $184k, but 2.2% for a millionaire or .0002% for billionaires.
