True reporting isn't always 'holding power to account.' Sometimes it's just investigating, asking questions, then telling the public what was said/what happened.
You don't have to have an adverse agenda to the subject on which you're reporting to be a journalist. If you go in with an agenda beyond telling the truth, you're an activist, not a journalist.
