Luther wanted to eliminate the errors of Rome. In his quest he said the Greeks had it right. He explored being part if the ancient apostolic faith of the NT, In the end however he didn’t & he kept some papal errors. Reformers didn’t think he went far enough. They disagreed amongst themselves as well. While they all wanted to break from Rome they kept some fundamental papal errors & mentality- how they theologized still very papist- using discursive reasoning, creating systematic theology. All western religions have this flaw from The RCC.
Doctrines invented by 1 person define each sect.
English

@KalaDeeDee @oliverburdick We have Holy Communion or The Lord’s Supper, not the heretical Eucharist.
How did God command it? List the scripture. Did God command it must be done in Latin? NOPE
And the pope shares his personal opinion all the time. And that’s also what a homily by your standards
English

@FunkFun53239659 @oliverburdick Nope . A few try to have Eucharist . Most do not. No worship as God commanded. Just lectures. Pastors sharing their Personal opinions
English

@RodRuiz14 @flaming__swords @ReformedToRome @oliverburdick Rev 6:9-11 context shows what is happening. It’s the prayers of all the saints that are asking for God to avenge them because they died for the faith. It’s not offering prayers to the saints it’s God hearing the prayers and putting them in his wraith he’s about to unleash.
English

@uncensoredjose @oliverburdick Those are charismatic Catholics
English

@dvermont @oliverburdick You must’ve missed 100s of posts by Catholics dogging Protestants today
English

@oliverburdick Great post for Holy Saturday. Way to be a “brother” in Christ.
Also, you’re a heretic.
“Every generation will call me blessed”.
English

@Cath_SteelMan @oliverburdick You mean worshipping like the Jews did. So you are imitators of them though Christ brought a new covenant with his people.
English

@oliverburdick I noticed that list did not include
Incense
Burnt offerings
An altar
A priest performing sacrifice
Ya know…. All the necessities of divine worship
English

@DividonBX @oliverburdick Yep the left is pretty spot on and accurate. Besides your degrading cartoon.
The right is at best mostly false. The first two scriptures I looked up didn’t even mention Mary! What a colossal heretical view of scripture. And you wonder why you’re called a cult.
English

Yes. The Lutherans did try to come closest to being true though didn’t - but they have fallen into the same errors as the others.
Methodists have a notion of wanting holiness- but no way to get it. That church has also fallen
Low church Protestant worship is centered on the rhetorical skill of the pastor. People jump from parish to parish to find a preacher that preaches what they want to hear.
The main point us all western religions- including Rome- use human reasoning to theologize. But human reasoning is fallen. It only leads to error. It us driven by personal bias & always leads to changes. Never immutable as the immutable body of immutable Christ
English

@KalaDeeDee @mikeproverbs10 @oliverburdick Worship is NOT for man. What a horrible statement to claim it is.
English

It seems you don’t. Worship of the Lord benefits man not the Lord. sacrificial love offered in Thanksgiving to Him transforms a person internally and helps make them more Christ- like. To be in union with Him so that one can be eternally witjh Him- which is salvation. Worship was First revealed when Abraham offers Isaac and then it was perfected in the offering of Holy Eucharist commanded by Christ.
Heb13: 10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat
Rev9: 9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the ALTAR the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held
Early Christians always had an altar.
English

@oliverburdick Protestants be like- let’s go hear pastor bob today.
No worship of the Lord at all. Zero worship
No Christ
No divine mysteries of God
No holy saints
English

@BillArnoldTeach @oliverburdick Protestants also have altars.
But let’s go there if you like. Who had altars?
The early church? No
The Jews? Yes
English

@oliverburdick Worship has always meant sacrifice.
That’s why Catholics have an altar
and Protestants don’t.

English

That’s a cool passage.
The ten talents right?
Serving Jesus in a totally just world-wide Theocracy where every day will be better than the day before for 1,000 years!
Can’t wait!
Notice the one who buried his talent sounds an awful lot like a Calvinist?
He says, “ I knew you were a hard man and you reap where you didn’t sow and you sow where you don’t reap so I buried your talent and behold here it is.”
Sounds just like pre-determinism.
English

Guys .. does the bible clearly foretell an upcoming 3rd world war? If yes in what book?

@doracamposast @sola_chad It’s not 120 volumes to answer one little question
English

@FunkFun53239659 @sola_chad The critical edition of Luther’s works (Weimar Edition) has over 120 volumes to explain his new man-made doctrine.
English

This is why the Bible never instructs anyone to pray to humans.
Tolkien Universe@tolkienzone
A Brazilian woman prayed to a figurine of Saint Anthony for years, only to discover it was an action figure of the elf Elrond from the "Lord of the Rings" films.

@FunkFun53239659 @JustBibleTruth @CauseToKnow @TheSisko @BohanTheRefiner @Matthew56193629 @katinka12542233 @god_came_down @DaMadMattster @soonintheclouds @the_usal @kathmregel What do you mean “in heaven”?
The coming kingdom is on earth.
Heaven is the Father’s house , not ultimately our home.
English

@FunkFun53239659 @JustBibleTruth @CauseToKnow @TheSisko @BohanTheRefiner @Matthew56193629 @katinka12542233 @god_came_down @DaMadMattster @soonintheclouds @the_usal @kathmregel There seems to be at least SOME distinction in the Millenial kingdom.
Only resurrected elect Jews (not any gentiles) are ruling over the human tribes of Israel in their land . That’s approx 6 million in today’s numbers. (Zech 13:8-9).
Matt 19:27-28

English

@Harambe442149 @sola_chad Jeremiah 17:9, declares: "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”
English

@sola_chad you don't understand the Bible, what matters is what's in the heart.
yours is filled with scoff and arrogance.
English

@doracamposast @sola_chad It took you at least 11 posts to try to clarify what the words in black and white said. Do you realize that? Do you not see a problem with that??
English

@sola_chad Protestants also use visual aids—crosses, pictures of Jesus, nativity scenes, or even action figures/Bible story toys for kids—without it being idolatry. The principle is the same: the object points to something higher.
English

@brunobarking @JustBibleTruth @CauseToKnow @TheSisko @BohanTheRefiner @Matthew56193629 @katinka12542233 @god_came_down @DaMadMattster @soonintheclouds @the_usal @kathmregel That’s not really a separation to me. The question is from this point on the children of Abraham ever be separated into two distinct groups, Israel and Gentiles? or from this point on, are all true believers children of God, regardless of their ethnicity?
English

Jesus made it clear to Peter (And to us ) that in millennial Kingdom, there will be resurrected Jews that are in the bride of Christ , ruling and reigning over human Jews that were left behind at rapture. These left behind Jews mourned per Zech 12:10 and repented and entered the kingdom in human bodies. Zech 13:8-9
Matt 19:27-28

English

@YehovahElElohim @Truth_matters20 He doesn’t. He’s told you everything you need to know in the Bible. It is all sufficient for your needs.
English

@Truth_matters20 Danny, how would you know if the Lotd spoke to you?
