@Handfullll

My opinions are my own, don't like it then don't follow. Go Habs! I play Mass Effect more than I pay attention to people. BPD is a bitch ain’t it.

@evanrender @WatchMyReview Gorton along with Hughes entered the official start of the rebuild and turned the ship around in like three years. Lets not pretend like he's useless.

@WatchMyReview Not at all, just saying don’t really understand the Gorton glazing. If you’re fishing for executives of other teams, should be parked outside Julien Breisebois House.

The Islanders asked to speak with Jeff Gorton, so why don't we? Answer is likely no, but worth a shot.

@fnveenie 100%. But you know it's going to be either MacKinnon, McDavid or Kucherov because the people who vote on it are dumb like that.

Celebrini should be the unanimous Hart Trophy winner if the Sharks make the playoffs. He literally has almost twice the points of the second best points leader on his team. He has 104 and Smith has 54. It's insane. I'd argue he should get it even if they don't make it.
JL@JKLHabs

@mike_p_johnson I watch every Habs game, and have seen all the Hart candidates a few times each . Celebrini is by a significant margin the most dangerous player that controls the game the most in the games against Montreal

@fnveenie The most insane thing is that right now in the East, 100 points doesnt even secure you a spot.

@WatchMyReview Thats definitely part of the problem. You could see just how much when Gudas need Matthews and no one really stood up for him. Culture isn't everything, but with the right culture teams do actually play better.

Please move off this nonsense. You can have a great "Culture" and suck. Build a winner through smart trades, drafting, developing. Does anyone think the issue with the Leafs is a bad culture? We purposely got less skilled and really slow and no other NHL team does that.

More of this 'Culture" nonsense. You get a GM who makes smart trades, drafts well and bam! That's your "Culture". We are all big on the idea of the "Country Club" dooming the Leafs, but there were so many mistakes made that screwed this team not related to "Culture".
Sportsnet 590 The FAN@FAN590

"I don't care if it's the greatest GM in history or an unknown. They won't come in and set culture up for those guys. It has to be the foundational pieces setting the culture." @RealKyper, @jtbourne and @SamAMcKee react to Keith Pelley’s comments on the Leafs’ direction.

@Mack_Maring @CanadiensEh Everyone's first choice at the time was Glass. And lets not pretend like the Habs didn't have a list of players they wanted with Suzuki on it

@Handfullll @CanadiensEh You can give him credit for accepting Suzuki instead of blowing up the trade when he wouldn’t budge on Glass But if Bergevin had his first choice, we wouldn’t have Suzuki - and that does matter.

It’s clear you generally cant have Bergevin-related discourse without clear bias kicking in. Suzuki and Caufield are wins, dissecting it as something else is self-serving. Hugo hit the ground running and have done a hell of a job building this team up. Not Hard.

@CanadiensEh @Mack_Maring 100%. I also think no one truly knew how good Suzuki was going to be. Management fucked up putting him on the 4th line to start his career as well. Though, the narrative that the "settled" for Suzuki is way overdone and incorrect.

@Handfullll @Mack_Maring I'd imagine the #1 skillset of most NHL GM's is being able to...negotiate. The black/white "Suzuki was their third pick" isn't really reality. It's always the goal to make the other party feel they didn't give up their best asset.

@Mack_Maring @CanadiensEh To be fair, it is highly unlikely that the Habs were only interested in Glass at the time. And it makes sense that he was their target because Glass was projected to be the better player.

@CanadiensEh I think the reason most people have issues with Bergevin getting credit for those things is that he ultimately lucked into it after fucking up for years. Suzuki over Glass wasn't his choice. Caufield was no-question BPA for a team that desperately needed scoring Guhle - moar big

@WatchMyReview Whomever it is needs more control. They have to stop having to go to the MLSE board to get approvals for trades and signings. That's the main reason Dubas left.

@mneufeld123 @MECA_Canada @mur13582263 Considering Danielle Smith signed an MOU with the federal government basically saying the federal government would help Alberta build a pipeline if they can find someone willing to build one... and still haven't found someone willing to build one... companies don't want to.

@Space_morty @Handfullll That’s why I said it’s a crazy random baseball-like stat. You can take any number and say this. The other guy seems to think it’s an NHL record. I hate when they do this in every sport. It’s pointless.

@tonesmac18 When you disagree with the league who is literally in charge of the record books and can't bother to read the entire post. Dude your opinion does not matter. Fact is the NHL has stated that he broke a record. I don't need to look it up anywhere because you're too blind to read.

@Handfullll It doesn’t say he broke a record because this record doesn’t exist. That’s why you didn’t take the 30 seconds to find it. Arguing semantics at this point. Fact is that it’s a ridiculous baseball/ESPN type stat that means nothing. I’d laugh no matter who did this.

@tonesmac18 Buddy. Just stop talking. All you're doing is proving how pointless your entire opinion is. Whether you think it is or is not a record has absolutely no value. The NHL themselves in this post have said that he has BROKEN the NHL RECORD... So yea, the NHL has the final say.

@Handfullll You’re the one arguing that it’s a record. You know you can’t find it that’s why you’re arguing. If you use common sense, they’d have to do this for every single arbitrary number then. “First to 47 multi assist games. First to 63 multi assist games”.
