The idea that certain Linux distributions belong to “beginner”, “intermediate”, or “advanced” users is a bit misleading. What makes Pop!_OS intermediate compared to Ubuntu? Under the hood, they share the same foundation. Your Linux skills aren’t determined by the distro you run. They come from understanding how the system actually works. You can install Arch and still be a beginner. You can run Mint for years and understand Linux deeply. A distribution is just a tool, and ultimately a matter of preference.

@IsRubiini @hidden_leshy @thatstraw While CachyOS is great and it will give you more FPS than bazzite, it's not that big of a difference and CachyOS will be harder to configure.

What's the first thing you do after a new Linux installation?

@hidden_leshy @thatstraw Arch is good but I'm not ready for it yet. I installed it through Arch Installer and it's still not ready.

@IsRubiini @thatstraw Try Manjaro or Arch, they’re pretty easy to use. Especially since we live in a post LLM world

@Itsfoss Yes, I started with Ubuntu, but I wanted Linux Mint, but I couldn't install it myself at that time, so they installed Ubuntu for me for money.
