A side of Coach Knight you rarely saw reported. Which was by his own design. His mom was a school teacher. He was an avid, lifelong reader. There has never been a college sport coach who put more emphasis on his players getting a degree. He donated yearly to the Orrville Public Library. Also the Boys Club, and YMCA.
