Texas teachers are among the BEST in the nation. A quality education is the foundation for our children’s success. It requires dedicated teachers who motivate students to learn and grow. Our educators are fundamental in building brighter futures for the next generation.

Texas public schools have plenty of resources. They just don’t have correct priorities. Texas public schools spend nearly 30% of the money they receive on items that they don’t need to or that they overpay for. But they take money from teachers and students to do so. Texas republicans had an amendment to the budget bill that would have required schools use a certain portion of new money towards classrooms. Every democrat voted against it.
