@sighyam if you can modify the outcome to zero by being mindful and having good habits then UV driving ageing markers is a statistical artifact. most people have dysfunctional circadian hardware and need unfiltered sun exposure to properly address it

@sighyam the evidence for how skin damage actually happens is science, not anti-science, and these people took it as their foundations are profiteering off of it by being extreme and edgy. it doesn’t make them “anti-science” just because they’re pushing their epistemology to its limits

@sighyam the issue is of course nuanced and no one likes that. you do have to mediate your direct exposure, control duration, and consume sufficient nutrients like saturated fat to repair your largest organ. people need to be taught how to teach their skin to harness the sun’s energy.

"Biggest cheat code." Putting plastic on your face so you can keep doing the thing that's destroying your sleep instead of just... not doing it. Your body doesn't need a filter. It needs you to put the phone down. Blue light blockers are a permission slip to maintain the habit that's wrecking you. That's not a cheat code. That's a cope.

The biggest cheat code is wearing bluelight blockers at night, especially if you go on screens. The bluelight from the screen sends a signal to your brain that it's time to wake up. Not what you want to do at night. Bluelight blockers block that light, helping you sleep.
