Well, actually, you have absolutely no idea how many guns are locked up, safe and secure. No idea whatsoever. There are no compliance checks. Now if all guns had to be stored at a registered gun club you would.

@StockProtoHuman @cselley The point of the post was that a ban on cigarettes and broader tobacco products would have an impact on indigenous communities for which an exemption could be sought. Point stands regardless of what academics say about traditional medicines. Feel free to research independently.

Last I checked, telecommunications was under federal jurisdiction. This will be fun to watch. (PS, while not denying there may be issues, video games, newspapers, TV and radio are all also designed to “maximize engagement.” I look forward to, when travelling, having to verify my age on X every time I cross a provincial boundary.

@erinotoole @WabKinew A ban is the most extreme version form of regulation. I’m not anti-regulation; however, I question whether a ban is necessary or if there are meaningful alternatives we can consider. You seem to have decided the ban is the only way forward at this point. Why is that the case?

@erinotoole @WabKinew I do remember not being able to watch rated R movies in theatre or rent them. But they were still playing on cable or satellite TV. And my parents paid attention to how I spent my time and what I watched at home. I see social media use being closer tied to my home TV example.

(most creators are against you btw) Are you really insulting legitimate creators who’ve been posting relevant content for YEARS and calling them “fraudsters” just because they don’t want to record themselves, under the threat of having their payouts cut by 10x?? This is X. This isn’t YouTube or TikTok. You are decharacterizing the platform. Is that the only valuable content? Didn’t Elon tell you to increase payouts? I’m literally scared to post this comment, like many other users, because you might decide to ban me again. This is no way to run a platform. You have no humility and insane levels of self righteousness.
