🟢 IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE JUNO DEBATE: Caroline Elliott initially committed to attend the only BC Conservative leadership debate taking place before the membership cutoff. This is the moment members will decide who becomes the next Premier of British Columbia. It is a big deal. Then things took a turn. After agreeing to the date, format, and venue, Elliott’s campaign went ahead and bought out nearly every ticket to the venue. General admission was $50, VIP was $100. They cleared it out. Deep pockets. Impressive, I guess. We weren’t going to let one campaign control the audience, so we moved the debate to a larger venue. Every campaign deserves a fair crowd. No issue there. At that point, Elliott backed out, and announced a mix & mingle event on the other side of the province. This isn’t simply a matter of avoiding other candidates like Yuri Fulmer, Iain Black, Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Warren Hamm, or Peter Milobar. Campaigns make strategic decisions all the time. This is about attempting to control access to voters, lighting a pile of cash on fire, then walking away when that failed. We’re proceeding with the debate. Elliott is welcome to reconsider. She will be treated fairly and given the same opportunity as everyone else. But right now, voters are left with a simple question: Why try to block people from attending a debate? If I were a donor, I’d want an answer to that. And if this is how a campaign handles a debate, it raises bigger questions about how they would handle power Every other candidate will be given a powerful, national platform to showcase their talent and ideas. Elliott is welcome to change her mind, again, and show up for the people that matter: people like you. The Juno News audience is the largest in the nation, and are the only stakeholders in this whole leadership race that I actually care about. Our readers deserve to hear from the people that want to lead Canada's west coast out of years of NDP destruction. Dear Mark Carney,
I just wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you for completely solving the housing crisis. It’s incredible. Studio apartments are now only $3,000 a month, bedrooms in someone’s basement are a steal at $1,850, and a modest one-bedroom is a jaw-dropping bargain at $3,700. Truly affordable living. I especially appreciate how owning a home now only requires a $180,000 down payment and a small, manageable $4,900/month mortgage. Homeownership has never been more within reach. 🏡✨
Also, thank you for fixing the cost of living. Groceries are unbelievably cheap now. Eggs at $9.49, butter at $8.99, ground beef casually hovering around $14/lb — honestly, I’m saving so much money I don’t even know what to do with it. I went in for milk and bread and only spent $97, which is basically nothing these days. What a time to be alive. 🛒💸
The tax relief has been phenomenal too. Keeping almost half of my paycheck is just incredible. I absolutely love watching 40–50% disappear before I even see it — it really builds character. Nothing says financial freedom like calculating whether you can afford both rent and food in the same month. Taxes have truly never felt lower. 📉😂
And the safety improvements — wow. Streets have never been calmer. You can now confidently walk past open-air drug use, random screaming matches, and bike chop shops knowing everything is totally under control. The fentanyl crisis? Basically solved. The homelessness crisis? Completely handled. There are only rows and rows of tents, which is obviously just modern minimalist housing. 🚨🏙️
The crime situation has also improved dramatically. Nothing reassures citizens more than seeing repeat offenders released faster than a drive-thru order. It really keeps things exciting. Who doesn’t love a little unpredictability on their commute? Keeps the adrenaline pumping. 🔁😌
And finally, thank you for making life in general so affordable. Gas hovering around $1.80–$2.10/L, insurance climbing, utilities up 30–40%, and somehow everyone still expected to smile and say “things are improving.” The financial gymnastics required just to exist are truly inspiring. ⛽💀
From the bottom of all Canadians’ hearts, thank you for this stunning 180. Housing has never been more affordable, groceries have never been cheaper, taxes have never been lower, and the streets have never been safer. Everything is perfect. Absolutely flawless. No notes. 🇨🇦👏

With Pierre Poilievre’s recent trips/speeches/interviews, I think this is the first time (perhaps in our history) that the opposition leader has been more relevant, impactful and meaningful, than our elected government.
I’ve never heard Prime Minister Carney relate to the every day person, or industry leaders/diplomats at a level like this.
Sure, he uses big words, and says things that make you feel virtuous and morally superior… but there’s no substance to it—reflective in our data.
It’s no wonder the establishment works so tireless to shame and vilify conservatives in this nation 🤷♀️
Canadians may have elected Carney on a false promise to get a deal with our largest trading partner… though, fate may have it that the only person who actually cared about our quality of life and economy, was the man they tried so hard to silence so they could cling onto power—without results—just a little bit longer before we realize that the only crises was their policies. The only danger was them not reversing them. And the only division, has been the names they call everyone who questions them.
Canada needs a real leader. Not a world economic forum keynote speaker.
