50 years of algorithm critique in #Planning and I always come back to this @APA_Planning #JAPA piece from *1973* by Doug Lee. Lessons learned from the 1960s lead him to these recommendations for "future modeling efforts". They are just as useful today...

New OMB guidance on evidenced-based decision making in gov't is A+. Consider the Learning Agenda for local govt. Craft analytics to solve specific strategic planning goals eg. 'reduce gun violence'. Seems easy, but not the current culture. bit.ly/3hlZudn
