DWR today conducted the fourth Phillips Station snow survey of the season. The manual survey recorded 2.5 inches of snow depth & a snow water equivalent of 1 inch, which is 4% of the April 1 average for this location. The statewide snowpack average is 38% of average. #SnowSurvey

Freezing temperatures are possible in most of the San Joaquin Valley Tuesday night. Freezing temperatures are likely in most of the San Joaquin Valley Wednesday night and Thursday night. Be prepared to cover sensitive, exposed vegetation, and outdoor plumbing. #CAwx

Snow is possible in the Sierra Nevada & adjacent foothills Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning. The snow level will start at around 2,000 feet Tuesday afternoon, before falling to about 500 feet Wednesday morning. Any rain in the San Joaquin Valley will be minimal. #CAwx
