As an Iranian, let me tell you what @POTUS is talking about here: In Iran, if you protest, you die. Not metaphorically. Snipers on rooftops shoot people in the head and chest. In January, the regime massacred thousands in the streets, many of them young people whose only crime was demanding a normal life. When he says Iranians are telling the U.S. “please keep bombing” he’s describing a population so desperate to be free from a regime that murders them for protesting, that they’re willing to endure war if it means the system that has terrorized them for 47 years finally falls. You may not understand that. Most Westerners can’t. You’ve never lived in a country where your daughter can be shot in the face for not covering her hair. Where your son disappears into Evin Prison and you get a call to come pick up the body. Where the internet goes dark so the world can’t see the killing. That’s what “they have lived in a world that you know nothing about” means. Before the media turns this into “Trump wants to bomb civilians,” understand: the Iranian people have been begging the world to see them for years. This is the first U.S. president to say it out loud.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47

.@POTUS explains to a reporter that the Iranian people yearn for freedom: "We've had numerous intercepts, 'Please keep bombing' ... and these are people that are living where the bombs are exploding... they want freedom. They have lived in a world that you know nothing about."

Trump believes he is threatening Iran with destruction, but it is America that now stands in danger. If he attempts to eradicate Iranian civilization, the United States will no longer be viewed as a stabilizing force in the world, but as an agent of chaos—effectively ending our status as the world’s greatest superpower. This would upend our economy and shatter the global order. The process is already underway, yet we still have time to avert catastrophe if Trump finds the courage to pursue serious negotiations rather than reckless rage and destruction.

Looking back at last year, we’re still taking it in. Touch of Love was featured in the @SC_LotteryTrust Impact Report, and we’re truly grateful to them and Scott Millar for telling part of our story. To see the work we do with young people and families in Aberdeen recognised in that way meant a lot to us. It gave us a moment to pause and see how far we’ve come, and the difference that support like this continues to make. The funding we received has helped us grow in real ways. It has allowed us to extend our services, support more young New Scots, and provide the kind of consistent help that families rely on. We’re thankful for the opportunity to be part of that publication and to share what this work looks like on the ground. Thank you for believing in what we do. scottishchildrenslotterytrust.com/wp-content/upl…

Can Oman decide to open the Strait of Hormuz if Iran decides to close it? Looks like the strait belongs to both of them if you look at the map. Am I missing something?

My neighbour and her husband have been married for over 16 years with 4 kids. 3 boys and a girl. The man is 46 and the woman 40...infact they just celebrated her 40th bday in the compound. We all eat rice , cakes, drinks , took fine photos with radiant smiles but behind all these, the both of them have always come to tell me the fups of the other....infact the woman said shes no longer interested in carrying the financial bodern of Collins (as she now calls him) she is the breadwinner for over 7 years since he lost his job and it has been from one issue to another. Coliins does his best by doing manual labour where they pay him 3k daily..but that's not enough for a family of 6! And guess who each of them come to tell all their inner secrets , things so deep I'm not suposed to know....? And I wonder why. They are so confident and free with me to the extent they call at different occasions to pour our their issues to me. And i keep wondering why me? To the woman, she is still very pretty and honestly she is, she told me all she needs do is give him space, "move to the heart of Abj and mingle with men wey go give person peace and baby gitl treatment " she snapped. I widened my eyes on hearing what a married woman and mother is telling me. In my chest i ask myself: If you have managed to survive with a man for 16 years, with 4 kids, why not just endure...i asked myself Ve🔑🔑.

Apple doesn't fall far from the tree biko. I'm teaching her how to attract better across all aspects of her life biko and though young, she is learning what she must learn about life. Taekwondo is not just a physical exercise but a mind regulator. My son has a yellow belt, and he's being taught how to be great to somebody's daughter and not a problem. If everyone does their bit, we'll have less of these domestic abuses. Not to deny the fact that some of us are just badly behaved.

@LabelleFU @Nigeriangod_ @Jero_obem While you are teaching her that very important self defense, please teach her self worth, and to stand up and walk immediately her said partner becomes physically abusive. Flight and fight are both survival moves, one just has to know when to do which.

I have lost two friends to their husbands beating them to death, the most prominent one was married to a very useless and evil RCCG youth pastor, my friend was a hardworking banker and loved by her colleagues and her friends but the one problem who was a weapon fashioned against her was her useless husband. He is a jealous man, jealous of her achievements, controlling while he’s very jobless and lazy and dislike the facts that she’s so genuinely and truly loved by all. Every week is a different injury to her body and if I complain and tell her to leave her marriage she will say “she does not want her children to have two fathers and he will change “, he kept her off her friends and anytime her friends complain to him about the ways he’s treating her,he will tell her that her friends are prostitute and jealous that she’s married and wants her to be a single mother. In 2011 she didn’t come to work that morning which was so unusual of her even when titilayo is sick, she still call in at work and later return home so it unusual of her being absent at work, her friend called me that very day that she didn’t come to work and she wasn’t returning her call or BBM messages,I waved it off at first but later called but it was just ringing no returned call, then her friend suggested we go to her house during our lunch break time, mind you I was working in ikoyi while she was working at VI and lives in isolo,so I moved with her friend to her house. On getting to her house we knocked for some minutes with no response and I noticed her phone was ringing in the kitchen then I moved towards the kitchen entrance at the back, what I saw shocked my existence,I saw fresh blood all over the kitchen then I started shouting and raising alarm. People gathered to the back and broke the kitchen door, behold was my dear friend behind the kitchen cabinet dead and buttered like a ram at the abattoir,I screamed, cried, people were holding me and I was fighting them. It was the most horrific crime scene I have ever witnessed, the whole isolo neighborhood were filled with people that very day and her husband was later apprehended and at first he denied it,the RCCG church wanted to subvert the judgement so that he can be found not guilty but the forensic experts results indicted him and in 2019 he was finally sentenced to death by hanging and still awaiting the hangman nose. Her beautiful daughter is 18 this year and already at the university,I always pray she never meets a man like her father. Women need to LEARN TO LEAVE so that they can LIVE

My mum’s friends daughter got married to a real time abuser🥹🥹 Whenever he beats her, she’d run back home but her parents will send her back. The last time he beat her, the father of the lady said he won’t let her go back unless he comes with his family members to beg and not touch her again. He came with his family and the wife followed them back. Now he has beaten her to death with 5mths pregnancy 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 The only girl of her family, mehnnnnn💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

Always the ones that best describe themselves 😆 🤣 😂 and have no relevance in life like you @hehvoon Just see how you described your slave mother above. It's clear she leaked your father's ground he walked or walks on. Chai! Pele. You must be so upset with your parents that your low self esteem keeps you hidden 🫥. Heal as soon as possible if there's still hope for you.

The Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge is designed to ease movement across one of Lagos’ busiest corridors. For years, areas like Ojota, Maryland, Opebi and Allen have struggled with heavy traffic, largely because there was no direct connection between them. Stretching about 5.04 km, this project combines elevated bridge sections with connecting roads to create a more direct route for commuters. It also includes space for pedestrians and cyclists. This project was first conceived during HE President Bola Tinubu’s time as governor and was later revived and completed by our administration. In many ways, it reflects long-term planning finally coming to life. The real impact will be felt in daily commuting. Shorter travel times, less congestion on roads like Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, and more predictable journeys for both individuals and businesses.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu@jidesanwoolu

LASG officials went on a tour to inspect the progress of work on the Opebi-Mende-Ojota Link bridge and other arterial roads connecting it. The bridge was designed to address major traffic issues and provide alternative routes for motorists traveling from Toyin, Allen, Opebi to Ojota. Once finished, it will benefit those commuting from Maryland to Ikeja and surrounding areas. The team also visited other strategic ongoing projects such as the construction of Abiola-Onijemo link Road with bridge, Ikeja Urban Regeneration Project, Arowojobe Link Bridge and Approach Road at Maryland, and Agidi Demurin and Church Street Network in Kosofe Local Government Area. Despite the weather challenges, contractors are working diligently to meet project deadlines. The completion percentages of some projects are as follows: Arowojobe Link Bridge and Road at seventy-seven percent, St Finbarrs Road at seventy percent, Abiola-Onijemo Link Road with Bridge at eighty percent, Ikeja GRA regeneration project at eighty-nine percent, and Opebi-Mende Link Bridge and Roads at eighty-five percent. These projects reflect our commitment to delivering top-notch infrastructure and driving economic growth for the benefit of all residents.

Reminds me of how Eb received open doors when this happened to her. She got the best job that relocated her outside Lagos with a fat car and housing allowance that sustained caring for 3 children. She blossomed so well over being constantly weighed down with responsibility. In this case, her husband was hands-on and not stingy, but to cut the long story short, their beautiful love we all thought died from her carrying it all. Long story. I hope your cousin experiences open doors that will bring her more relief and happiness from shedding the dead weight. What a sperms donor who thinks children don't know lol 😆 😂 and only fault your cousin for releasing him to whom bayi?

My cousin is going to court tomorrow to file for divorce, and honestly… I’m happy for her 😂 For years, she carried the whole marriage on her shoulders; paid the rent, handled the kids’ school fees, took care of the house and everything. Meanwhile, her husband, who’s working too, barely contributed. Sometimes, he’d even cook and finish the food before she got home from work. It was that bad. I remember telling her three years ago to leave, but she stayed after his family came to beg. Now, she’s finally done. When I asked what changed, she just said, “Don’t worry about it.” And I didn’t push. Because sometimes, the strongest decisions are the ones you make quietly.

@AdedoyinOo99252 @a4lasade Wait! Why should she meet the irresponsible man? Are you saying you are part of the reason people think---- what will people say? Someone that's the head of the house all these years should not get rid of the man-woman? Anyway, to each their own thinking.

How will you be happy your cousin is filing for a divorce. Infct,I expect you to calm her and tell her everything will be alright . So after 2or 3children,is she going to remarry again or wat. Some decisions are better not made for one's sanity . We never can tell why the man is acting like that towards the house provision but have you make any attempt to meet with the husand too?
