@Softnessa_ Or they would like to have a reliable tenant, my son is going through that now, he had a tenant that was there when he bought the house, but she moved. He has the tenant from hell! She thinks people are listening to her, tore stuff and he used a service that found her cont.

I told my landlord I’ll be moving because I recently pivoted careers & have to cut my expenses. She called me and asked, “How much do you want to pay?” I gave her the price. Y’all….she took my rent down to the price I asked. Placed a concession on my account and said, “I really want you to stay, we love you”. 😭😭 Man God is good.

@Frumpy_Mastodon @SBeitelshees @TonyLaneNV I would say the service charge may cost them customers. I can see it on a party of 6 or more which is what most places do. I went to a place like that I always went to I typically do 20% but when you add it, and then want a tip on top of that. I have not been back since. IMO

@SBeitelshees @TonyLaneNV Had the same thought but there are a few reasons (1) Adding a service charge is easy (2) printing menus with new prices costs money (3) service charge costs the business nothing and allows "wages" to be variable with business volume instead of being a fixed cost to the business

PAY ATTENTION… They add 20% automatically Tell you it’s NOT a tip Then leave the door open for you to tip anyway So now you’re paying… what, 30–40% extra? This normal now?? ⬇️ 🇺🇸

@Bunny_ngl Question, if your coworker did not bring you to work how would get there? Do you have a car? If not maybe look at it that way, what would you spend back/forth uber, bus etc. because they are going that way does not mean they are obligated to bring you. IMO answer “yes” chip in

If a coworker has a car and lives near my house, and drives me to work every day, am I obligated to chip in for gas?
