We’re playing the odds with nukes all the time - with NK, Russia. In my opinion it’s foolish to adopt absolute positions likely “I will do anything to keep Iran from having nukes” becuase then you can be manipulated.
Far more real is millions of radicalized refugees from Iran in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon etc.

So many longtime NATO supporters saying the same thing right now. I helped bring Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic into NATO. But denying us basing and overflight is inexcusable, as is their failure to help with Strait of Hormuz. No one asking them to bomb Iran, just let us use our bases and help escort ships. If they can’t do that, NATO has no purpose.

They have had enriched uranium for a long time now and did not weaponize it. Why? Because they needed to balance their little “death to Israel” project with actual security concerns. Because if they did it, they might get bombed, hard.

This is an absolutely rotten, evil thing to say. “Stone Age” implies targeting civilians—the innocent men, women, and children he is supposedly trying to liberate from a brutal, oppressive regime. That would be a war crime.

For me this is just too many improbable things strung together.
Iran would first have to rebuild their centrifuges, make the weapon (with Israel assasinating all their scientists every 6 months), make enough of the weapons-
And most importantly be suicidal enough to use them.
That’s most unlikely.
Look at India and Pakistan, hated each other, but have not fought a major war since becoming nuclear.
Far more concerning are failed states like Gaza. Hamas attack on 10/7 had nothing to do with nukes.

Trump’s comments last night about “Obama’s Iran deal” were simply wrong. It wasn’t perfect, but it capped uranium enrichment at 3.67%. Since Trump scrapped it, Iran has enriched to 60%—much closer to weapons-grade. And that stockpile still hasn’t been eliminated.

Europe still hasn't increased their militaries four years after Russia invaded.
Europe believes they can do nothing and America will just handle it for them. That's not an alliance. That's a protectorate, and that is not what NATO is supposed to be.

There must be a reason for action
There must be a reasonable chance the action improves the situation.
Our allies fought and died for us in Afghanistan so if they do nothing one of these two is missing!

All allies admit that Iran is a massive problem and can’t have nukes. Thats been discussed for decades. But when it comes to doing something, they do nothing
