I look forward to a quiet life outside of politics. With a fire-pit and beehives. Until then I am going to make it my mission to get the FARA office back up and running. The political divide in this country is a foreign op from multiple countries and it’s sad.

Again, I’m going off of what he said. And apparently the election monitor replied to me in the other thread confirming that she allowed him in and that she was happy to see him making intentional neglect of election law, as you put it, very plausible. And does what? Takes pictures of himself alongside campaigns for clout? What about that makes you think he knows what he’s doing? He didn’t do door knocking and he didn’t organize any GOTV efforts like so many of you assume he does. He posts pictures for clout and tweets a lot.

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler What you're describing would only happen if every election monitor completely ignored someone in the room canvassing people as they voted. It's ridiculous to assume they would allow that. Again, considering he does this for a living, he knows what he's doing.

No sir. A poll in a texas election is done on a polling terminal, which is an electronic machine, housed in the polling venue. That is by law. So to be “at the polls” means one would have to be at one of the many polls inside the voting venue. And therefore, you would be inside the 100 foot perimeter around the voting venue. Note he didn’t say “near the polls” or “100 feet away from the polls or polling area.” He said he was “at the polls.”

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler Generally speaking, when someone is "at the polls" they are in a polling location, which is a designated area for them to do just that. It's why they have cones and markers designating those specific areas, so they know where to go for the polls. Not hard to understand.

Except they wouldn’t be in the polling venue, they would be 100 feet away from it as the law says. He said “at the polls” when each poll is inside the polling venue, is it not? And if it is inside the polling venue, is it not within the 100 foot perimeter around the polling venue?

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler If "at the polls" means being inside a polling location, and the law states that polling locations must have distance markers that indicate they are 100 feet or more away from the voting venue, then any canvassers in the polling location would not be in violation of the law.

You’re still avoiding the questions I asked you a few replies ago. Why! Did he or did he not say “at the polls?” Is each each poll inside the polling venue? If one is inside the polling venue itself, are they not within 100 feet of the venue? Answer the questions and stop evading.

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler The first words are "Polling places must have distance markers" which indicate they are 100 feet or more away. This means that if someone is in a polling place ("at the polls") they would automatically be 100 feet or more away, since they would likely be shut down if they weren't

@MDButler81 @heckyessica @ScottPresler You didn’t give the websites. You gave an AI output and it wasn’t even addressing the questions or the point I posed to you. Nothing in the AI output actually disputed anything I said.

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler I'm not sure why you keep conveniently leaving out the little part of that law that says it's allowed if it's 100 ft or more away. Since he doesn't indicate one way or another, you don't have enough information to make that assumption.

@MDButler81 @heckyessica @ScottPresler Again, I’m going off of what he did say. He literally said “at the polls.” Being at a poll in a voting venue in a Texas election and canvassing there is illegal. Period.

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler Making an assumption of guilt based off of what he didn't say in his post. The fact is he didn't give enough information to make that assumption one way or another. So, we're left with knowing that he does this for a living and probably knows what he's doing.

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler Go find it yourself if you're so convinced he broke the law. Let me know what you find. But consider this, it's only a class C misdemeanor, and even if you were to find some wrongdoing, what would you do then? Bask in the glory of being a good hall monitor?

@MDButler81 @heckyessica @ScottPresler You’re the one claiming it was an exit poll. It’s your claim that you have to back up with your own evidence. I’m not going to research your own argument for you. Act like a grownup.

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler Since we're working in hypotheticals, what about this scenario: An EXIT poll where she told him she follows him here and supports his work, and it was because of him she decided to vote for Paxton. Nothing illegal there.

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler If he was 100 ft or more away then it's not. Considering you're assuming he was within the illegal zone, based on only your assumption and something he didn't explicitly state, and considering he is quite experienced & knowledgeable at these venues, you're jumping to conclusions.

Everyone feel free to begin discussing the stories that have been following @jamestalarico for years and that Democrats have been working overtime to hide because they think it hurts his chances winning statewide in Texas...

@chris_komatsu @heckyessica @ScottPresler Sure. I'll indulge you. "This is quite literally illegal to do at a voting location in Texas." That sentence is incorrect. It is only illegal to do within 100 feet of a voting location. Since Scott's post never mentions being at a 'voting' location, only polls, you are wrong.
