While #SouthAfrica has signaled a suspension of its G20 participation this year, the situation you mentioned raise legitimate concerns and will be discussed during this retreat. #Burundi will also reflect on South Africa’s experience and lessons learned during South Africa’s chairship of the G20.

The summit at the end is a culmination of work done by member states during the year. South Afrixa is excluded from all that, not just the summit. You know this (or you should).

In terms of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (1963), Uganda has to inform the 🇿🇦 Embassy when our nationals are arrested. This has not happened. Either these fellows are not South African, their documents are fraudulent or the story is fake. We will monitor & update accordingly.

What are you even talking about? The US invaded Iran because it was stockpiling conventional weapons to ensure it had a shield while it developed nuclear weapons. They were already at 60% uranium enrichment, way more than ever needed for civilian purposes.
They are also religious zealots who believe that in order to fulfil prophecy they must destroy the West and they have been arming proxy terror groups all over the region and the globe.
Additionally, America, reckonising the success Israel had achieved by not only defanging Hamas and Hezbollah but also destroying Iran's ability to defend itself from enemy aircraft, saw this as a once in a generation opportunity to rid the world of the psychopaths that run Iran. These same psychopaths have murdered upwards of 40.000 innocent, unarmed civilians for simply protesting against oppression. The world is a better place without the clerics running Iran.

I’m honestly very irritated and deeply pained right now. It’s hard for me to understand why someone would move to another country and choose to destroy the system instead of adding value to it. When you migrate to another land, you should carry respect, discipline, and a mindset to contribute, not to damage the very environment that is hosting you.
What makes this even more painful is that it reflects the same struggle we face back home in Nigeria. The same way people fight those who advocate for what is right and ignore the voices calling for integrity is the same pattern being repeated abroad.
When we ignore what truly matters and begin to normalize the wrong things, this is the result. The consequences don’t stay local, they follow us everywhere. Sometimes it becomes frustrating because the actions of a few individuals end up damaging the reputation of millions of good Nigerians who stand for truth, hard work, and dignity.
But even in this frustration, one thing remains true: the wrongdoing of some should not define the character of all. There are still many Nigerians who represent the best of our nation wherever they go.
Nigeria is bigger than the mistakes of a few. And those of us who believe in what is right must continue to stand for it, at home and abroad.
