Nondenominational - Just a man learning to follow Christ at 40. Noticing Scripture’s fascinating details, and sharing what amazes me along the way.

I’ve chosen to be non-denominational; and here’s why: • I don’t want my faith governed by a building or an institution, whether that’s Catholic Church or any Protestant denomination. My relationship with God isn’t meant to be filtered through a system, it’s meant to be personal. • For me, Jesus Christ, the Bible, and the Church (the people, not the building) are enough. Scripture shows that the Church is the body of believers, not a physical structure or hierarchy. Faith is lived out daily, not just attended weekly. • I’ve seen how the Word can be influenced by groups who believe their interpretation is the “right” one. Whether it’s traditions, doctrines, or denominational differences, it’s easy for human perspectives to shape what should be centered purely on Scripture. • That’s why I choose to go straight to the source; to read, study, and understand the Bible for myself, while staying grounded in prayer and truth. • The church I attend reflects this. It doesn’t try to control belief; it helps believers grow. It creates an environment where people are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ, not just follow a system. We’re called to: Speak His name. Spread His Word. Gather His disciples. Grow His kingdom. Glorify Him. That’s the mission. That’s the focus. • This doesn’t mean I reject other Christians; it means I’m focused on a direct relationship with God over religious labels. At the end of the day, it’s not about what group you belong to, it’s about whether you truly know Him and live it out.

No me is required to justify their views just because an idiot online expects an answer to a question said idiot knows full well the answer to but wants one just to give the loaded answer they spent way too much time formulating in their tiny brain. I’m glad I am not in power as well, because people like yourself would be removed.

@MatlockOfficial @Sadie_NC It seems you are either not educated enough to understand the question, or you are hoping no one will call you out on having nothing. I'm very glad you don't have any actual power, things would be a lot worse.

I think this is an excellent idea. This allows parents to see what is being done in the classroom and it allows teachers to show parents when their children are unruly. Thoughts?

When a church starts rewriting historic creeds to fit the spirit of the age, it is no longer confessing the faith once delivered to the saints, it is abandoning it. The Apostles' Creed was created to guard truth, not to be remixed into slogans that chase cultural approval. The Holy Spirit is not a prop for modern political language. He is God. This is blasphemous to speak of Him like this. This is not creative expression. It is eisegetical theological drift, and it empties the church of the very truth it claims to represent.
Breitbart News@BreitbartNews

The church that went viral for the "Sparkle Creed" now recites something called the "Immigrants Creed," parodying the Apostles' Creed with Current Thing language "I believe in the Holy Spirit, the eternal immigrant of the kingdom of God among us"

In response to years of disruptive and violent protests on freeways, California installed gates on freeway ramps to keep deranged protesters out. You know what would be a simpler solution? Arresting rioters and forcing them to face consequences. That would stop this real quick!

Multiple times, @michaeljknowles said I called my wife a whore in my post (as did @benshapiro), even though I wrote "My wife was formerly promiscuous." To my surprise, upon checking the original video, the top comments are now overwhelmingly condemning their response to our story of God's redemption (screenshot below). Michael is now doubling-down on it on X by saying that me writing that she was formerly promiscuous is the same as calling her a whore (pic attached). Here's the three primary issues with them saying I called my wife a whore, and why Michael's argument is wrong. 1. It isn't true. I never used the word "whore," so he shouldn't be telling people I called my wife this. 2. We instinctively know that "she was formerly promiscuous" carries with it much more grace than "she's a whore," because "promiscuous" is an adjective describing her past, whereas "whore" is a degrading noun, a slur used to speak harshly of women. They're similar words, but different in meaning and intent. They are not the same. 3. Crucially, they spoke in the present tense: "He called her a whore" (implying this is a present-tense sin issue, something she still is). I spoke in the past tense: "My wife was formerly promiscuous." This tense difference matters immensely, especially when people greatly struggle to separate one's life before Christ from their life after Christ. The world can't fathom that such change can happen. But the Bible is clear: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (1 Cor. 5:17). Or consider Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me." That old Ashley is dead. It's because of these truths that my wife and I choose to boldly, confidently, and without giving loads of explicit details, share the sins that stained us before Christ with others (for I am indeed a great sinner and struggle in many ways, too). Our story isn't shared frequently, but at times and when fitting, so that other believers can be encouraged, other sinners can be given hope of redemption and forgiveness, and the lost can hear the good news of the gospel: that though all are headed for Hell for their sins (1 Cor. 6:9-10), anyone who repents and places their trust in the resurrected Christ will be saved (John 3:16, 18). Regardless of how much you've sinned, you can't out-sin the mercy of God. You can be washed clean, your shame and guilt removed, and you can have a brand-new identity in Jesus Christ (Titus 3:5-6). And we’re living proof of this! I have no ill will against Michael, Ben, @andrewklavan, or anyone else for their remarks and mocking, nor do I demand an apology. I forgive them. My greatest desire for them and anyone who's following this story, as well as God's, is for them to "be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:4).

I used to think suicide was a cowards way out. Always stated so. I watched the movie Cloud Atlas with Tom Hanks, and a scene where a gay man takes his own life because he couldn’t take the fact his partner broke the knees about their relationship. The way he spoke about how difficult it was to make the decision to kill himself changed how I thought about it. It takes very real bravery (in this sense) to commit to ending your own life by your own hands. I now have much empathy for anyone who decides to. And I’m sorry for anyone who’s lost someone by this act.

He uses those of us who’ve had horrible lives, devastating lives, sinful lives, to help those of similar backgrounds come to Christ. Putting those type of people on a pedestal is not a bad thing, as long as we aren’t glorifying them for their past, over their present. Similarly, those of us who have not had a dramatic change in our lives when Christ brings us to him, are able to share similarly with those whose lives were not so outwardly sinful. We can kind of categorize it like we do White Collar and Blue Collar chrimes. White Collar is usually behind the scenes. Internal sin. (Hidden, Calculated, Motivated by greed, pride, or power, Not always immediately visible) While Blue Collar is external sin, exposed to all. (Physical, Visible, Immediate harm, Easier to identify and punish) It’s not a 1 for 1 comparison, but can help people see it in a different way.
