@DriveBC I know what you mean, but that’s still a bit unclear given that Hwy 3 is still closed further west.

@robb_barnes What kind of mind control does it take to get an Eskimo demanding you sell him ice, no matter the cost? Canadians look out the window and see snow as far as the eye can see. Some look at that and say, "it's too warm". How did the climate cult pull that off?

Here's the thing about climate change: unless and until it's addressed, it keeps getting worse. The physics aren't concerned with our politics. The Carney gov't must take action to do Canada's fair share in a rapidly warming world. hilltimes.com/story/2025/06/…

@Char_ElisabethK @CBCNews No it’s because Tesla tried to defraud the government by claiming one car was being sold every second for the last 3 days before the rebate deadline. They’re all sitting in parking lots. It was a vast scam. Makes you wonder how else Tesla has been ripping us off.

So, let me get this right: because the Canadian government doesn't appreciate the tariffs from the American president, they are sanctioning a private company that happens to belong for the most part to a man who is a contractor to the American government but has nothing to do with tariffs or threats to Canada's sovereignty? Do you all even realize how crazy this is?

Ah there you are. Good of you to show up. But as always you make it about you, and instead of offering sincere thoughts on a matter of the most vital importance and moral urgency, you use it as yet another opportunity to chant partisan slogans (“Canada’s common sense Conservatives”). In fairness, this was probably written by Jenni, but that hardly makes it less inappropriate or less flippant.
Pierre Poilievre@PierrePoilievre

As Leader of Canada’s common sense Conservatives, I have always been clear, we stand with Ukraine in its defence against Vladimir Putin’s illegal invasion. I also firmly believe that the future of Ukraine must be determined by the Ukrainian people. Conservatives will always stand on the side of freedom and democracy.

@PierrePoilievre You’re such a hypocrite. You were Harper’s parliamentary secretary when he did the exact same thing in December 2008. I don’t agree with proroguing, but don’t throw stones when you live in a glass house. 🙄

Liberals rumoured to be planning to shut down (prorogue) Parliament and paralyze the government in the middle of housing, crime, trade and cost of living crises, all to save themselves from a carbon tax election. Here is Trudeau denouncing prorogation. Sign here. Stop the hypocrisy. Save Canada. Call a carbon tax election: conservative.ca/cpc/call-for-a…

Don’t get me wrong. Harper proroguing parliament to subvert the will of a democratically elected majority of parliamentarians in Dec 2008 was wrong. Trudeau doing the same thing would also be wrong. But wait… who was Harper’s parliamentary secretary at the time? Hmm 🧐 #cdnpoli

I don’t think he means what he’s saying, but it is right that permanent standard time is best. Year round DST means going to work and kids going to school while it’s still dark outside. Morning light exposure is absolutely essential for health and maintaining circadian rhythm.
Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn’t! Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation.

@glennboe @realDonaldTrump Think it stinks when it’s dark early? Try getting up and going to work and having your kids go to school while it’s still pitch black outside. Because that’s what permanent DST means and it would be devastating for health. Morning light exposure is essential for circadian rhythm.

@HorsesAndCoffee @Brick_Suit @realDonaldTrump Because it’s vastly more important to maintaining health and circadian rhythm to have exposure to natural light in the morning when you wake up. Going to work and kids going to school while it’s still dark outside is the worst possible option.

@chriswill451 Actually the fact the error was discovered and disclosed shows that elections BC’s checks and balances worked and the system has integrity. It’s still a problem and clearly requires process improvements, but it’s hardly the conspiracist scandal you’re trying to make out to be.

NEW - Elections BC says election officials in 6 ridings erred by not reporting out-of-district results that had been recorded on 11 tabulator tapes. None of these results reporting omissions affect the outcome of any electoral district contest. #bcpoli

@DickDumfaq @KvncrwDoug @YakkStack They’ve been in use municipally for years. The paper ballots are retained. The machines are tested and the results validated and in the case of close races / recounts it’s all done by hand. 🤷‍♂️

@KvncrwDoug @YakkStack Electronic tabulation machines have never been used at the voting booths before. The only people who may not know that are first time voters. The rest of us know that ballots used to be folded and put in a ballot box to be collected and counted later.

@brianlilley The issue of WFH is an economic one. It has nothing to do with work productivity. Fewer workers coming to their offices means fewer dollars flowing into businesses around workplaces. Toronto PATH is an example of an economy impacted by WFH policies.
