One of the first strikes of this illegal war killed 175 civilians, including many children, at an elementary school. I joined @RepSaraJacobs and @RepJasonCrow with 100+ colleagues demanding an investigation and answers from @SecWar on preventing further civilian harm.

Hegseth is dismantling safeguards in place to protect innocent civilians, saying our military should have "no stupid rules of engagement." And now we know a US missile hit the school in Iran, killing at least 168 people — mostly children. MoveOn members consider a vote for the supplemental a vote in favor of Donald Trump's war and any member of Congress who rubber stamps another dime for this war of choice should expect to hear from our members.

We thank @RepYassAnsari for sharing her personal experience and for her leadership here. Her Congressional colleagues should take heed and immediately do everything they can to help stop this unjustified war.

Our millions of members and the American public will be watching and judging the action and inaction of Congress as this generation’s 2002 Iraq War vote.

Congressional leadership of both parties should bring every member of Congress back into session today to vote on legislation to stop this war.

The Iranian government is a horrific authoritarian regime, and the Iranian people deserve freedom. Twenty years of war did nothing to eradicate the Taliban in Afghanistan, and the same approach will do nothing to free the Iranian people from oppression.

We have seen this failed playbook before. The American people do not want another forever war, regardless of which political party is driving it.

Donald Trump ran on promises of peace and is now dragging us into what will be this generation’s ‘Iraq War’ moment. Congress must vote to stop Trump’s war, as their votes from here on out will define their legacies forever.

Casar: He steals from working Americans to give to the rich. Donald Trump doesn't owe us a two-hour rambling speech. He owes the American people their money back.

Schiff: Between now and November, the President will make every effort to discourage Americans from voting. He will make it harder to register and turn out. He may send ICE agents to polling places to intimidate our citizens. He will cast doubt on the results when his party loses. Our response must be to work harder, organize better, turn out higher than ever before. We must view every obstacle placed in our way as a challenge to be overcome with resilience, with defiance, as a gauntlet throw down that we must pick up. The fight for our democracy is a fight worth having, for it is democracy that makes all progress possible, and it is a struggle we can win if we pick up the tools we have been given and finish the job.
